nope not yet, im thinking its plugs too. im gonna change them asap and see if that helps...and bill, i know how you feel, that **** is so loud i feel like everyone is staring at me when i turn the wheel haha

Sounds like the exhaust hitting the drive shaft? very common.

Note to self, never buy a modded DSM.

turbo4g63 01-04-2008 05:45 PM

FWD = no driveshaft

97TurboDSM 01-04-2008 06:03 PM

hey kevin, why dont you bite me...im almost positive its one of the joints at the axle cause the one boot had a hole in it. im thinking it lost all its grease

Kevin 01-04-2008 06:48 PM

Kevin 01-05-2008 05:09 AM

Got one lol I'm in the union.

97TurboDSM 01-07-2008 04:27 PM

well, today got my cat installed, and got a short street tune. got the car runnin a ton better. now its time for new plugs and a full tank of gas plus a re-tune and i should be on my way. its a great feeling. still need to get inspected though lol

97TurboDSM 01-07-2008 05:44 PM

we also had some trouble getting the car enough fuel which is weird since i have 550s and a 255 fuel pump. we're thinking injectors or just a badly placed fuel pump not able to gather enough fuel since i was on E. any suggestions?

97TurboDSM 01-07-2008 08:30 PM

well that tune did more good than i had originally thought. put some more gas in it, ripped on it once and holy ****. pulled awesome all the way to 6.5k before a small sputter. a little more tuning and we should be at a good street tune for 10psi.

i know right. i havent been this excited about a car in a long time. i can finally go more than 50% throttle and almost to redline. its a great feeling. i cant wait to turn up the boost.

turbo4g63 01-08-2008 11:08 PM

good stuff...10psi is still insanely low boost. i run 17lbs daily with a 190 and stock injectors, and mine pulls hard as hell.

97TurboDSM 01-08-2008 11:24 PM

haha i know dude. i could prolly run more than that with a 255 and 550's. cant wait to get a retune on higher boost
