I still have a couple hundred rounds of 195, so il buy it as it pops up. $23 for 50 rounds is the going rate.....cheaper than 5.56.

I'm not sure what optic I want for the aug yet. How d you like yours so far?

cmr076 01-06-2013 10:19 PM

It's my buddy Jon's (the one I split all my ammo purchases, etc. with), I was talking about buying it from him but once handling it last night I was turned off. Too heavy, typical junk bulpup plastic trigger, just didn't feel right. And the Eotech sat so awkwardly you had to use the tips of your fingers to manipulate the charging handle. He picked it up for $1700 last week from American arms and ammo up 309. You like bulpups from what I remember though so you'll probably love it, very solid feeling and ambidextrous too which is cool.

Got any other lowers you would part with :)

::edit::

You haven't checked ss195 pricing recently have you! Well over a dollar a round for the lead free stuff

Damn I love those augs. I know some one who just sold their brand new ps90 for 4k today.

Munky 01-06-2013 11:05 PM

This nonsense really makes me wish I would have held onto my MSAR STG556 a little while longer. It's nothing special but I definitely could have sold it to a noob for big bucks.

That's gun broker pricing, but I don't think anyone sells New 195 anymore (old stock) so 197 is the ammo I'm talking about.

And yes, I like the bull pups. Does he have a problem hitting his knuckles on the eotech when he uses the charging handle?

He hasnt shot it yet either, but Yea that's what I'm saying, when you pull the charging handle, it's so short that you can't grip it without having to maneuver around the eotech. I'd suggest getting the gun before ordering an optic for it! And as I'm sure you know, load up on mags haha

ITSTOCK 01-07-2013 08:30 AM

I got the NATO stock because I'm already loaded up on mags!

and i agree MUNKY, looking back on the guns ive owned and sold i could have made an effing small fortune haha, PS90, SCAR, REPR, FiveSeven, tons of AK's, etc. live and learn to never sell guns.

So it looks like that receiver extension kit I ordred from LaRue the other day is backordered to eternity, so does anybody know where I can get one of similar quality?

~Brian~ 01-07-2013 08:14 PM

Need a mil spec one so that it fits inside the buttstock. And why the hell is that so cheap??? I just paid almost $90 for that receiver extension kit from LaRue!

cmr076 01-07-2013 10:03 PM

I mean mil spec is 1.148" so I can't imagine it's much different between brands, maybe different aluminum used, but for a range gun I can't see it mattering much.

~Brian~ 01-07-2013 10:18 PM

I see.. well if I may just wait a little longer for the LaRue, simply because I can't cancel part of an order. Plus if it's better aluminum (I know it doesn't matter, it's more for my ego... haha), the wait will be worth it.

I do realize that it will shoot the same though no matter what tube I have on there.

schaffer 01-07-2013 10:48 PM

anyone having trouble buying ammo....not finding but buying. More than one wally world is limiting the amount you can buy at one time. I'd order online but everyone is out of stock on target ammo.

Whatever you say! Better get it before adjustable assault rifle style stocks are banned though!

What are you looking for?

Quakertown Walmart has tons of Winchester white box 9mm, I picked up 500rds,

found 1000rds of Winchester ranger HP's at sgammo that I'm splitting with my buddy Steve,

Willow Grove and Neshaminy Walmarts had some 40S&W and .380,

Tullytown walmart does have Some shotgun ammo bulk packs, 410/20/12, .45, .380, .38 spec, and hunting rifle calibers.,

Palmyra Walmart had a good supply of .223 Remington 50 packs for ~$25. Nothing interns of 9mm or 40.

cabelas supposedly has a ok supply of 9mm of various types and about 100 boxes left of 223 50gr varmint tipped american eagle. ZERO 308 and ok amount of 7.62x39.

Hope that helps!

::edit::

Just reread your post, Walmart doesn't put a cap on how much you can buy.

~Brian~ 01-08-2013 01:04 AM

Hmm... didn't think of it like that.. lol

vDevilu 01-08-2013 03:00 PM

I hope when physical inventory time pass in the next couple weeks, stock will improve. Gwad, it sucks trying to get back into shooting with this whole mess. Been away for ~10 years.

It is unsure at this time, when or if we will be seeing any large quantity shipments from the factory in the near future. If you have any items of need, please be sure to place your orders fast."

So roughly $48 for 42 round mags now, still cheaper than what 30 round AR pmags are going for

Nothing has really changed in my home office/gun room since last time (that was about 2 years ago). I have an original Custers Last Stand/Battle of Little Big Horn lithograph now though, probably added very shortly after my last picture here

Anyone with a 50cal on the wall of their home office is OK with me  one if the coolest man rooms, ever! I know you were talking about having some pretty serious home security, etc. but I'd still be nervous leaving them all up there haha.

On another note, ups dropped off another 1000 rds of Winchester ranger HP. Coupled with the 9mm i have here already, I should have enough to last me the next few years haha. AND, one of my lowers arrived at the gun shop yesterday (paid $110) and brownells just emailed me letting me know another one I preordered a while back will be shipping! (Paid 94)

a few of the local ones have only been letting people purchase 2-5-10 boxes a day, or at a time. Which is BS to me. I understand they want everyone to be able to buy some but i should be able to buy whatever i want.

The heaviest that will cycle the lightest load you'll be shooting. Did you pick an upper yet?

Yep, I ordered a LaRue stripped upper and should have it within the next two weeks.

Thanks for the link!

*Edit- it will be chambered in 5.56, but I'll mostly be shooting .223

FS2000. I just love the way spent casings eject out of that weapon system.

Good luck,Chet your wishing you took my advice before and got the complete upper before

~Brian~ 01-09-2013 10:37 PM

So my hopes of finding the parts I need to at least make the gun function are getting slimmer and slimmer...

Is there anybody on here who owns multiple AR's that would be willing to sell one to help out a forum member who doesn't even have one? :)

Feel free to strip everything fancy from it, I just need/want a functioning gun. I'll dress it up myself. I'm not even interested in optics, just the gun.

Dont blow your load just yet, I might be able to help you, but it'd be older. My uncle had a gun store that got shut down in the 90's so now hes just got all of the guns and no store. Whats the oldest AR made?

Don't get carried away big guy... Look at it this way, you HAVE the part that MAY be banned... Anyone can buy full auto BCG's, anyone can buy million round mags, anyone can buy SBR uppers, all without a tax stamp, even if this awb ban **** goes through I confident the parts you're looking for will be available at some point... People who are grandfathered into the potential ban will still need parts, I mean hell, they sold almost 3 MILLION guns in December alone. I say either sell all your **** for a huge profit, or wait, and buy when everything calms down.
