Dave I did not think I would hear those words come out of your mouth, but I totally respect you for that....With my final semester of undergrad coming to a quick close I think i need to start getting my priorities more straight haha (one being selling off my cars ;) )

On a side not i got my extended slide stop, extended slide stop lever, polished pins, I got the extended slide stop lever installed and the old pins out, but when i try to put the polished pin back into the new extended slide stop it literally will not go (tried wiggling it and moving it to every position and still will not go through) I try to put the non extended slide stop in and slides in like butter...the new polished top pin goes in no problem....I just cant get the new bottom pin in? idk what im doing wrong...

should i take the top pin out then try to put the bottom in then the top back in? I didnt get to mess with it to much since V-day and the girls up at school visiting...

Love the new extended slide stop lever and really going to like the new extended slip stop once i get it in haha..probably going to go back to all black though

Did you order directly from Lone Wolf? I was just on their site and I think I'm ordering the extended slide stop & extended slide release in black from them. How was shipping? Also try putting the bigger of the two front pins in first then go to the smaller one.

Does the 2nd amendment give us the right to bear arms?

Not sure how old or relevant that poll is though....

I'm not speaking from personal experience with Glocks, but with my Sig in my MTAC holster (I think you said you were going with the MTAC, right?), the slide release and decocker would sink into the leather a bit and pinch against it making it very difficult to draw when you actually have your belt tight enough to keep your pants up. I tried everything, from loosening the retention screws until they were ready to fall out to leaving my belt so loose that my pants would sag. Every time I would try to draw the gun out of the holster it would hang up on the controls to the point that I would really have to force it upwards, which took the belt, holster, and pants up with it. When reholstering, it was absolutely a two-handed job. The controls stuck out enough that they would catch on the sweat guard leather piece that comes up between the slide/sight and your skin. No matter what I did the 'extended' controls on the Sig made things very difficult to work into and out of a any holster but my Serpa CQC, which is obviously all plastic and OWB. My M&P, which has no extended controls and is naturally flat like the G19 is extremely easy/fast/safe to draw and reholster one handed, even with a tight belt and tight retention set on the holster.

Make sure you keep your stock parts handy. You may find that the extended controls aren't really worth having outside a competition. Personally, I haven't pressed the slide release on my M&P since the first time I went to the range with it. With the Sig I don't think I ever did. On a mag change, the overhand 'slingshot' is more of a sure thing every time and I've done it to the point where I don't even think about it anymore. You may or may not have the same results. It's all personal preference and style of shooting I guess.

Old poll, but the answer is, "no". Neither the 2nd Amendment nor the Constitution "give" us any rights. The rights listed in the Bill of Rights are described by the people who wrote them as being natural, inalienable, human rights, granted to us by our Creator. They are rights we have simply by virtue of being alive.

The Bill of Rights is simply an enumeration of specific human rights that government is absolutely forbidden from infringing upon. It is a safe guard against tyranny.

Unfortunately, it's looked at these days as nothing more than an obstacle by many of our elected "leaders" and is rarely even mentioned unless it benefits a political agenda.

Always going to keep my stock parts handy haha and my glock tool... i really like the extended slide stop lever since its the only thing i got on right (going to reorder in black) the extended slide stop felt nice too just couldnt get the pin all the way through so i took it out and put the stock one back in until i can mess with it again

SvicksTc 02-15-2011 01:37 PM

Munky i got everything installed now, putting the bottom pin in before the top really helped alot gave me more wiggle room to slide the pin in...

I honestly feel its a great and really cheap upgrade, I could live with the factory size slide stop but the extended slide stop levers are a must haha (only reason i tried out the extended slide stop was because the finish was coming off the factory one and im anal)

Im going to see how i feel about the polish the next few days, my initial feeling is that i like it (a little) more probably just like the extended parts...

Most likely will be order a set of all black and just sell the polished ones cheap online or something (trial and error)

plenty of people have done that, polished slide, polished barrel, etc...

I looked at doing it when i was looking at the polished extended parts, but do not want to do that to my G19, maybe if i pick up another one down the road i will polish it out and be a non carry piece

Port and polish everything with some custom engraving ha

slowZ 02-15-2011 02:44 PM

I carry this that's the only reason I don't now I'm lookin at a stainless steel 1911

Munky 02-15-2011 03:07 PM

I had a stainless Taurus 1911 and I carried it once....ONCE!!! Got so much attention with it that I decided I'd never carry it again. I pretty much only own black shirts so it contrasted greatly when I OC'ed which is why it got noticed so much. Now I rarely get noticed when OC-ing with any of my evil black guns. The only one I get comments about now is the Kimber because of the Punisher grips.

slowZ 02-15-2011 03:15 PM

I want the 1911 for range n household use not to carry

slowZ 02-15-2011 03:16 PM
