How are things coming? Any updates??

hammtheman 10-10-2014 06:36 PM

sorry for the lack of updates. i have been working night shift out of town and only home on saturday nights, so progress on the car has been non-existant. i am sending some parts out to be powder coated and ceramic coated. also having my compressor housing and the 90 off the housing v-banded this week along with my intercooler. once everything is in the car ill get the intercooler piping welded/vbanded on the cooler side and ill have rubber couplings on the motor/turbo

got the clutch and flywheel on and got everything ready to put the motor into the car minus the trans to fab up the intercooler piping before I leave again, so my buddy can have it all tig welded for me.

Looking good!

Can't wait to see the car come together. I know your busy though.

I recently dropped about $1,000 on my crx, trying to get it near done so I can take it to some meets this coming spring/summer.
This car has been sitting in my garage since 1999, its about time I do something with her.

so got a few more things finished up. im not gonna have the motor in the car before i leave for work due to the lack of a throw-out bearing. kinda didnt buy one. so if im gonna bolt up the trans and motor might as well have it all.

so i cut the harness bar and braces out of the main hoop. gonna re do it to gain more leg room since im a giant. im going to be building a new floor as well so instead of it tapering like it does now it will be a flat level surface.

motors ready to drop in. just waiting on the paint on my fuel rail spacers to dry then they will be bolted up as well
http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps3e5df2cd.jpg

got a vband welded onto my turbo housing elbow to allow ease of clocking for my set-up. i also got vbands on the intercooler so the only couplings i have to worry about are at the motor. everything will be pressure tested once the piping has been welded as well

turbo taken apart for ceramic coating
