11s huh? were you being sarcastic? If I had to guess stage 2 mods would yield you in the high 12s low 13s with a good launch...i could be wrong...

Or do you have a bigger turbo on the car...i can;t remember if you did that or not

Yea I have a blouch dom1.5xtr, 380whp. I ran a 12.75 stock turbo stage 2 with stock fuel pump and stock Intercooler. I figure I should be able to get into the 11s now

Nice 12.75 is a great number on stock turbo...did you launch it rough...and did the transmission seem to take tje beating pretty well?

Also...

How is the car running on the bigger turbo?

I launched it pretty hard, i never launch it on the street so when i take it to the track i dont hold back on it. The trans holds up to it fine so far, as long as you can launch/shift it smooth youll be golden. I now have launch control and no lift shift also so im hoping that cuts a little off my time as well. Ill have time slips to post tomorrow night so we'll see :D

i thought of that and i hoped it wasn't the answer...that explains why i don't have it, open source no access port

vdcoff 09-12-2012 06:48 PM

you can get it still, its a little tricky to do but talk to your tuner and see if hes familiar with it. Theres a guy online that sells a "patch" for it, if you google wrx launch control patch youll probably be able to find the sit.

Finally was able to use both of them tonight and the consistency of LC is amazing, and FFS is probably the greatest thing ever. Talk about smooth shifts!

Truthfully im kind of bummed with my times tonight. Im the car on the right (105). My 60's were very good and consistent all night but my trap speeds were, in my opinion, very weak at only 108-110 all night. Ill have to do some experimenting but im still shooting for an 11.99 in the not too far future.

still good 1/4 mile numbers for a car that doesn;t have a lot done to it, makes me proud to own a wrx knowing that my car should be in the 12s as well since yours was in the 12s with a stock turbo and similar mods and I would be happy with a 12s 1/4 mile car that is still quick. I'm curious to see what I would actually run down the 1/4 with area1320's tune.

When you ran your 12.75 on stock turbo were you using an OTS map or was your car protuned?

Also...

If you were running stickier tires you would probably hit the 11s no problem...not sure what compound tires you have on the new wheels.

Did you mess with air pressures since you were on street tires, or do you really not have to size it's AWD? Still impressed with the times.

nah i didnt mess with them at all. I mean, a 1.74 60' is pretty damn good. Id like to get that down another 1/10th or so but we'll see. I have some plans for this winter that should get me a little quicker for sure so im not too worried. Im happy with a 12.51 thats faster than anything else ive owned, id just really like to get it into the 11s.
