I know, right? Guys are pretty simple to win over, and that is totally one way to do it! I'm pretty happy with how well things are going so far.

She loves wine... problem is she has tons of it at home. lol.

Big_Jim 01-14-2010 12:21 PM

can she make a meatloaf? lol.

She sounds like a good cook based on all the prep that she's done for this. But shes a vegetarian so I don't know if meatloaf is her specialty, even though she did offer to cook anything with meat for me.

Wahoo! $100M to help with the quake was pledged. Can you say more deficit hikes?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100114/...iti_earthquake

"This is the 15th disaster since 2001 in which the U.S. Agency for International Development has sent money and help to Haiti. Some 3,000 people have been killed and millions of people displaced in the disasters that preceded this week's earthquake. Since the turn of this century the U.S. has sent more than $16 million in disaster aid to Haiti."

When is it enogh? How much can you help before you just have to accept that a country is going to die. Its nature.

angdefeo 01-14-2010 12:36 PM

The thing about pleding money to these places is that most of the time nothing gets sent. Or when the money is awarded, an american company gets contracts to do infastructure work. or subsidized US corn gets sent which only spoil if it were kept in reserve.

cooking is just like working on cars if you ask me. at first you can only do simple stuff because youre afraid of trying more complex things, but as time goes on you get confidence and find out that to do it, its a lot of trial and error and if you follow the directions, youre good to go. You make mistakes and learn from them, come up with your own ideas and ways to do it, and you figure out what to stay away from and end up hating some parts of it.

On the same note, when youre tired you dont feel like doing either thing and sometimes resort to having someone else do it or a friend helps you out for a beer or some food.

sleeper15 01-14-2010 01:00 PM

shouldn't have had those wings last night, ugh

I leave my cooking to my ladies and my car fixing to me. :)

Seriously, this might sound totally sexist, but I really hate with how gender roles have gotten so mixed up over the years. I just love it when a girl is good at the home maker stuff, and as a guy I would want a girl who appreciate a guy who's good at fixing things or doing the manual labor around the house.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind learning how to cook. Just never really had anyone teach me.

Oakes 01-14-2010 01:09 PM

I used to love cooking. I just don't even have time to sleep anymore let alone wait for a meal to be ready.

I love to cook things i like to eat.

Parents were not always around when i was younger because they both worked,so my sister and i learned how to cook via trial and error.

Angelo I will take you up on that offer sometime. Until I get a raise here I don't make enough money to put into my 401k. And that 1% on the CD is only a 3 month rate.

Came back form lunch. Boss took myself and others out for a belated bday lunch.

itis
naturally occuring drowsy feeling that is created when a person, normally of the African-American race (although it may affect peoples of all creeds), eats a large amount of fried, salty, or fatty foods...this feeling usually causes one to sip some purple drank and take a nap
