Yes. lol. I dunno. I haven't really researched them that much. I just know that the Draco pistols are cheap and they look awesome. haha. They're like $350 out the door from what I hear and that's cheap enough for a 'just cuz' buy. I have no need for one, but that's the point. I like the idea of SBR-ing a pistol because just like the Sig 556 pistol it's already a solid gun and you just have to get the stock on there. I've very briefly looked into the whole drilling the trunnion thing to add a folding stock etc., but I have a lot to learn yet.

Honestly I'd almost like to just keep it 100% stock without SBR-ing it and go for the whole 3rd world look

That's how it started for me too and it's really the only reason I ever OC. It's never really because I feel the need to, just because it's a pain in the ass to focus 100% on covering up on hot sweaty days. It's just laziness turned into 'ehh, who cares I'll OC'. Still it's like 98% CC/2% OC.

I was kinda weird about it and a little nervous to try it much because of possible negative attention until I realized that what everyone says is true - people are too oblivious to notice most times. OC is usually more comfortable but the thing that stops me from doing it more often is the fact that on the one occasion where I really just don't feel like dealing with anyone's bulls***, that's the day that someone is going to give me hell about it. OC being legal or not, I just really don't feel like dealing with it. I actually hate people

Dave's the frequent flier there so he's better to ask about the specifics, but I'd say it's pretty straight-forward. Show up with guns and ammo, kill paper, pay upon completion of paper killing mission. lol. They don't really have any crazy rules or anything.

with a draco pistol you could AOW it and throw a side folder on her and it would basically be a SBR with only a 5 dollar tax stamp (i may be wrong since I am new to the NFA stuff but i am sure someone else can chime in with better/accurate info)

Can't put a stock on a aow. And if your making a aow the first tax stamp is 200. After that its a 5 dollar tax stamp.

i have seen guns for sale as aow with stocks on them, but a aow is a any other weapon, so you really shouldnt. as far as the tax stamp gos you should just sbr it because the first tax stamp will be 200 no matter what, unless you buy a aow draco, most people with put the cost of the 200 dollar tax stamp with the gun. thats one reason serbu are so much.

I just got the OK from the wife last night so I'm definitely in. I'll invite some buddies. I could potentially be coming with up to 5 extra people, but most likely it'll be 1 or 2.

Dave, should I bring a video camera? and bring your five seven too if you don't mind.

haha my range bag is gonna be HEAVY as hell, and as far as the camera they generally dont allow recording but I can call them and see if they will make an exception... Ill say its for a school project or something.

rodder 01-25-2011 11:27 AM

I think it will work on mine too. I'm pretty sure I bought a S&W, but I've heard them call it a Glock on the news. Actually, I know I read an article in the Inquirer where DICK Polman (has to be a fake name, right?) described those evil "rapid-fire clips". Funny though, it just made me want to go buy one. Who needs FA NFA items when you can just buy rapid fire clips?

That would be awesome if I could bring a camera. I wouldn't have a giant rig or anything, just a barely-noticeable GoPro stuck somewhere. I've been wanting to try out the 60fps mode and see how the slow motion looks... of course we all know that a slide cycling and throwing out brass looks badass.

Make sure that if you ask, they know that it's not going to be some huge distracting production where we're showing off or whatever since I'm sure that's why they don't allow it in the first place.

A buddy of mine has that for his carry piece. I was at one point considering buying one myself.

I've never shot one, but they feel nice in the hand. I decided it was a bit too bulky for CC.

SvicksTc 01-25-2011 03:08 PM

ya hoping i can be able to bring the DSLR with me to the meet also i know Dave and I discussed it last night and just waiting to hear what CP says
