Went home from work, changed, got to my buddy Tomas' place around 4... hung out there... watched an episode of south park and rolled to the Chameleon club (super small venue, only about 150 people were there) in Lancaster around 6. First band to go on was From monuments to masses. They were AWESOME... id call it soundtrack rock.. very melodic yet driving... really good stuff. We had a few brews and went outside on the tiki bar/deck area. Beautiful day outside... we enjoyed a few Yuengling lagers while reminiscing about good times passed.
I knew my buddy jake was coming from some earlier texts. I haven't seen him in a long time.. hes a big subaru guy .. (infinite motorsports is his company). Right as i come up i see him and a friend i havent seen in ages. The friend's name is Pradeep but everyone just calls him Deep. Deep is one of those guys who has his head on straight.. no bull****, friendly, down to earth, etc etc. great friend. We shoot the **** for like 2 minutes and then Dredg hits the stage.. Tomas comes in from the deck bar and smoking a cig to join us on the railing. Eyes glued to the stage. Dredg went on to put on one of the best shows i've ever seen. Its like a sonic cocoon of enjoyment. They are one of those bands that just engulfs you in the moment.. they sounded almost exactly like the cd but so much more rich... it was like riptip9000.1 sound. Theres a bit more to the story but it doesn't matter much. Just that i had a great time. I was able to relax a bit and enjoy one of my favorite bands with some really good people. It was Tomas' first dredg show and he will never forget it. I was able to provide him with that experience.
