It will look awesome, lowered, tinted and lipped. That's about it lol, the wheels go great with the car, the gap doesnt. Tint will seal the deal and the lip will even out the front end and fill out the whole car.

and throw a air horn on it while your at it

Elliott18t 11-04-2009 03:30 PM

i wouldn't really consider what he's got planned as serious. there are cars on here that are modded and really shouldn't have been...

and it'll make me stop considering posting a "oakes" spotted thread every time i see a ford edge

sleeperSL2 11-04-2009 03:40 PM

haha oh i know it's not serious. my mom has a '07 Gold Fusion, AWD V6. Fun as hell to drive.

Oakes 11-04-2009 03:40 PM

LOL, I hate you Ken.

I'm not gonna try and make it fast lol, it's a Fusion, but they handle GREAT in the Sport trim that I have. In total, the mods are under $1k and it'll make a world of difference. I'm not getting Stance coils and what not lol.

Ryan, I want a CC as well, may even take one home tonight. I also want a Phaeton, I love the look of them but they are turd buckets.

Roto 11-04-2009 03:41 PM

2010 Saab 9-5 = sex on wheels... If I buy one that will be yet another very perverted love/hate relationship with a car... but I won't buy it until 2015 at the very least when it's used and depreciated...

Oakes 11-04-2009 03:44 PM

I'm glad I bought a new car lol

LOL, look what you're driving. I'm keeping it whether I get another car or not, so I will make it look/handle how I want.

It's a personal preference thing. I like the relaxing feeling that I'm the only one that drove the car before, not "did the last owner really maintain it properly, is it hacked up, is it gonna blow up?" May be extreme, but it's truly a whole new peace of mind that only new car owners can relate to I guess.

Scapegoat 11-04-2009 03:59 PM

i can appreciate getting a bad ass car for an amazing deal. I did VERY strongly consider a c5 z06 which would have come in 10k less than what i paid for the mustang. but with the mustang i know i'm the only person to have owned it

yeah ok I won't deny that the fusion will look better than it does now, but don't ruin the one comfortable/nice car that we have around, nobody wants to road trip in the gc or eagle

i dunno... it would have been older than my srt-4... that seems like a step back even though it is much more car.

who knows... not like i won't be in the position to purchase one at some point anyway

Yeah. The ride won't ever be sacrificed THAT bad. I'd rather be dragging frame in the Fusion then ride in the other two.

this is true, don't want to ruin the ride.

my mugen and hatch are both fun to drive, but anything longer then half an hour, and my back is sore from the harsh rides

true.

someday, i will own a NSX, or a s2000. still don't know which one i would want

Oakes 11-04-2009 04:20 PM

The suspension I'm looking at doesn't compromise the ride much if at all, no worries. I'm not goin VDub, I'm just sayin I would rather drive it like a VDub as opposed to riding in the Eagle or the GC (currently)

Pass the GC over to me...

HickRocket1258 11-04-2009 04:23 PM

Yeah, I'm just not much of a new car buyer. I would be willing to buy a car hacked up if done properly.

Scapegoat 11-04-2009 04:24 PM

Why in the world would I want an unreliable bucket?

DPancoast 11-04-2009 04:31 PM

well I got off work a little early today...

driving home and when I get home, back up... park... let out the clutch and every once in a while I hear a scraping sound... rev it up a little and its a little more consistant lol

something is DEFIANTLY gonna be loose or broken with my clutch when I pull the trans off. God hopes it lasts 2 more days lol

2200 pounds, mid engined, coilover suspension and swaybars, lsd transmission, quick ratio steering rack, bride seat with sparco steering wheel and nrg quick release, pegasus HID's full bushing set SS brake and clutch lines, then to top it off 13x8 wheels with 255 hosier a6 slicks. Enough reasons why?

Are you planning to reuse the pressure plate? If so I'd probably stop driving. Otherwise what the hell, have at it ;)
