Glad to hear you've got plans in place. Would love to see a video if you get it on the rollers.

Have you been doing manifolds during school or just home on breaks? I know denham has plugged your manifolds in a couple videos, now.

I do about 1 to 1.5 on average every weekend, his plugs have been super awesome, but also given a mass amount of requests that are nearly impossible to keep up with. But i guess thats a good problem to have

That's cool man. Keep up the good work. And I'm sure it's nice to know there's a demand, at least, for your product.

for sure. Its a nice little side job while i finish up school.

So update on the car: jammed hard over the weekend and hit the dyno yesterday. Car would not build boost. Thought it might be the wastegate, swapped it with a known good one, but still no dice. Gave up due to time assuming that there was a massive boost leak somewhere. I pressure tested all my piping and intercooler today and no leaks to find. I also checked out my cross over tube to make sure the flex bellow hadn't blown out or something. Still no issues to find. The only thing I can think of is that the seal between the center section and compressor housing is shot, im going to pull that off shortly and see what the dealio is with that.

Hopefully making boost shortly...

It sucks when its not something obvious. I'm guessing the turbo spins freely without much play.

mckpat03 03-07-2017 08:04 AM

Ahhh man, that sucks! Hope you get it figured out, though.

ayyyyye i forgot to update. so i resealed the compressor housing. and then the car sat for weeks while i built manifolds. Put my intercooler piping back together and went for a cruise on Sunday. Car pulls hard, waste gate opens, and compressor surge when i back off the throttle. Also found the boost gauge is leaking. Gonna fix that and hit the dyno. will report back for all 10 of you shortly :)

And the crowd goes wild! But seriously, looking forward to results. Video, hopefully?
