Craig wanted to let you know I put up notice about the Fall Run. I am checking the roads to see if I'm going to be in need of help hahaha. Oh and I tried to shoot you a pm about it but couldn't hope you don't mind me posting in here. :)

maxentropy 08-05-2008 06:32 PM

Crap, this looks absolutely awesome but I'll be up at my buddy's hunting lodge for a bachelor's party. :(

I'm working on breaking my coilovers loose so I can raise the car up about an inch, I dont care much for this bumper so scraping it up isnt a very big deal. I just dont trust susie's skinny little tires not to bend one of those pretty little gramlights. Plus, I would rather bring my car :) I've got maybe 4 and a half inches of clearance in the front and my exhaust and subframe sit a little lower. As long as you dont think something is going to stop me dead in my tracks ill leave it the way it is.

PS do you think this will be too low? All the shots of the roads are red Xs

As it sits in the photo you could have a scraping issue if the road dips or there is space where there is uneven pavement.. Do I think you will rip everything out, no but ultimately you have to make the decision. I really can not not commit to a yes or no.. I will say if its too much trouble then just bring Suzies car.. I would rather you be safe than be sorry.
Just makes me nervous to even think of someone damaging their car.. I ran this all at stock ride height with 3 people in an SVT Focus with no problems so that is all I can commit to.

The worst parts are where the road has waves if you will going up and down a little and then some transitions onto bridges etc can be a little bumpy if you hit them too fast. I will be slowing down for these.

Buster 08-06-2008 12:50 AM

considering this suspension has zero travel, if the road is really that uneven i think at worst ill lift a wheel. I think underneath my car should be fine, and like I said lol i hate this bumper anyways. it will be fine, i ride some ****ty roads daily on the way to willingboro.

Ok.. I guess I am over cautious because I do not want anyone getting pissed off at me. The roads overall are just fine.

Pocket_Rocket 08-07-2008 09:36 AM

BUMP!!

Lets fill these last two spots..

Pocket_Rocket 08-07-2008 11:16 AM

Slight format change in the interest of time.. and logistics.

We will only be stopping in Chesapeake City briefly for a restroom stop and a quick veiw of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.
This will only be a half hour stop which is plenty of time for everyone to gather back up.

Next we will hit some more nice back roads on our way to our final stop at Coleman's Farm for hand dipped ice cream :-p..

Their Peanut Butter and Jelly Ice Cream kicked ass!

All in all the organizers feel this is a much much better format and allows for more scenery and driving roads to enjoy. There will be plenty of down time at lunch!

BustedUjoint 08-07-2008 01:19 PM

mmm, PB&J ice cream. . . sounds deadly.

BustedUjoint 08-12-2008 08:47 PM

:bump: for 2 spots to fill

Pocket_Rocket 08-13-2008 07:11 AM

I appreciate the bump but hey if its only this many thats honestly fine too.
We have a good group here.

BustedUjoint 08-13-2008 09:08 AM

Sounds good. I am definitely looking forward to it and meeting up with everyone.

Pocket_Rocket 08-13-2008 09:44 AM

Absolutely! I am looking more forward to this one than the original to be honest with you.. I like the way this flows more.

2drStunner 08-13-2008 11:22 AM

Man i cant wait! Im praying my car will be ready for this. If not Ill be bringing the Gf's car. Either way i wouldnt miss this for the world.

Subie_sleeper 08-15-2008 07:47 AM

two questions. Is this a rain or shine event? (keeping fingers crossed for an awesome day) and again, do any of the Lehigh Valley participants want to meet in the am to run down 476 and 95 together?

Well lets consider that date an absolute last resort.. Even if its a 50/50 day the run will be on Saturday.. If it rains and people can't make it on Sunday, I completely understand. But again, Sunday is an absolute last resort..
