get dsmlink and solve all your headaches

97TurboDSM 11-03-2007 02:02 AM

whatya mean by blurp. i pretty much emptied it into my garage today when i changed the t-stat. drove an hour home and the gauge read right in the middle. came to a stop light for a good minute, gauge went up. its so weird. and jordan, if i had an extra $800 lying around for dsmlink and a new ecu i would. for right now, troubleshooting will have to do, k.

lol yea I probably showed you it.

Nah the ecu is good for all turbo second gen DSM's.

97TurboDSM 11-03-2007 03:12 AM

mighta been you, not sure. im always on dsmtuners so i see pretty much all that is going on over there. thanks for that link, i'll have to look into that ecu although it still doesnt solve the fact that i need to spend $500+ on dsmlink :help:

97TurboDSM 11-03-2007 04:58 PM

after recently finding out that im a moron with half a brain and spending $15 for a new t-stat that wasnt causing any problems, i looked at my rad fan only to see that the plug was halfway out. plugged it back in, started the car and presto, fan comes on. let idle for ~10 minutes, no overheating. so, ladies an gentleman, im officially an idiot.

97TurboDSM 11-05-2007 01:20 PM

yo billskee, im not gonna go down unless i can get my hands on a new ecu because it would be pointless to try and use my mangled ecu.

97TurboDSM 11-05-2007 02:22 PM

anyone have any clue if it'd be worth it to just get my ecu socketed for dsmlink the way it is instead of buying a new freakin ecu?
