Wow, Suby engines look like a mess! Good luck Troll. I love the "Old and Busted" picture with the engine in the corner like it deserved it. Face the wall and shut up.

i really wish, as im sure alot of us do, that i had the resources to pull this off....coming along great guys!

Shades of Gray 07-21-2007 08:18 AM

i don't know why, but here's what I've observed from the latest entries...

1. Fred's car has a great new sticker!:bigeek:

2.Thank goodness you guys have decent beer to reward yourselves with, and not beer that tastes like water(bud, miller light!)

Looks fun.
Ryan

I'll drink to that, here's to slowly making the car we want rather than the car the market will buy. :)

Wow so i wish you have a before picture of that fridge.

Intercooled T 07-21-2007 11:48 AM

you guys need to invest in some fender covers for gods sake...all that hoisting and no protection to the car!!!

funny part is i pull it off for a lot of the photos so you can see the car and whats going on. but yeah we only have 1 there now, i'm gonna bring my other one next time i get out there. for the hoisting though, that engine is... easy to pull out once you free up everything from around it, never really any risk at bumping anything.

Intercooled T 07-21-2007 12:34 PM

just busting balls, keep up the good work!

dancemf666 07-21-2007 08:26 PM

Woah woah woah... don't axe this mans dreams! Swapping is what some people enjoy doing, but I can see points for the opposite argument.

engine and tranny split on their own. anyone who's done a tranny or engine can appreciate that a LOT
I am never talking to you guys again. Took me 2 hours... and 1/2 of that was trying to get a putty knife UNSTUCK from between the two. Then guess what? I found a bolt still attached to the engine through the tranny, they seperated the instant the two were free...

only reason they fell apart this time is because we paid our dues last time, 13k miles ago when we did the original tranny swap. it sucked. but yeah, if you didnt take out the clutch fork pivot pin then... HAHA point and laugh.

Whoa...lets not get crazy.
Cutting yourself on cars accidently is one thing. But if he teaches you the emo way then you'll just cut yourself on purpose and then nothing on the car will ever get done.

piknockout 07-22-2007 09:14 PM

Still watching and waiting for the final result. Definitely fun following the progress though.

And the engine bay rallying is hilarious.
