you heard wrong!

my goal for the shotgun is home defense, but i like the idea of buying a longer barrel to swap out and use for board shoots and trap once in a while. that's why i'm looking at the 870 and 500, because parts are everywhere and they're all pretty cheap.

btw, is the CPI shoot on the 9th definitely going to happen? i saw something in the event thread that you didn't schedule it yet.

ill be there, i didnt have them hold the room for me because of the lack of commitment but if we all show up they will take care of us i can promise that

I dont know if you guys will frown upon this, but www.slickdeals.net users often post deals on ammunition and handguns/rifles/shotguns.

Check this one out, seems like a really good deal. $200+ in ammo plus the 226 Elite with low round count and the holster.

I was just in AF Boyers in Slatington the other day and saw some pretty decent deals.

Ruger .480 revolver = $569
Ruger SP101 .357 = $299

If you're not familiar with AF Boyers, it's a hardware store/gun shop with a huge stuffed giraffe in the middle of the floor. Really cool place. Highly recommended to stop in even if you're just browsing. Great service and people too.

my M&P40C is for sale is anyone might be interested. i found another gun that i want and my budget doesn't allow for 2 carry guns at the moment. i have 2 holsters, 3 mags, and all the original S&W stuff. PM me for more info.

picked up a few new toys today, savage model 10 in 308 with Millett 16x50 scope, LE stock, harris bi-pod (the ridiculous one that extends to like 24")

also finally got around to picking up my FNP45 Tactical! shot maybe 100 through it and LOVE it, its a weird gun because of how high the trijicons are (meant to complement a can) but made aiming kinda bizarre.)

Pics:

holy bi-pod! perfect from a kneeling position though.

FNP Tac w/ threaded barrel .... can coming soon.

also got my g36 back from getting the new triji's put on... im considering selling her, wayyy too small for me.

Can someone elaborate? buying a gun at a gun show in PA? How exactly does that go down? I bought my gun from cabela's so that was all taken care of there, and all my other guns were provided by uncle sam.

Gun show works the same as a gun store... You give the guy your money and ID, fill out a form 4473, wait 5-10 minutes (assuming the PICS system is up and running - it's gone down 2 out of the last 3 times I was at the valley forge show - I smell a conspiracy lol), and if you pass the background check he hands you the gun.

Wanna come to the group shoot?

what are you replacing it with? Just curious 'cause my wife carries an M&P 9c and I want something similar for CC that will fall in between my .45 and my LCP in terms of firepower. I really like how flat the Walther PPS is but I'm also considering an SR9c or possibly even a Keltec PF9.

i found a barely-used Sig 229 Elite that i want desperately. I've wanted a 229 ever since i held one for the first time at a local gun shop a few years ago. the deal is one that i don't want to pass up. unlike a lot of other guys here i'm not fortunate enough to have a budget that allows for much gun buying, and i just can't afford to have two carry guns. i'm sure if you're curious you could go back a few pages and see my constant praise for the 40C. i absolutely love it. i just really want that 229 though. lol. if i can find a buyer for my 40C and i end up getting the Sig, i'll buy another 40C as soon as i can. it's (IMO) the perfect carry gun.

i'm most interested in trying out your SCAR, but a few others too. should i fork over some cash at the shoot for what ammo i use or should i buy some of my own? either way, doesn't matter to me.
