Xavier 02-25-2009 04:02 PM

Except it is a Ford. Inherent problem.

russiankid 02-25-2009 04:02 PM

If only we had showoff03ls, the cavi pro to rescue.

Oakes 02-25-2009 04:03 PM

Considering the 2009 Fusion got rated most reliable car for 2009........I mean it's on the cover of consumer reports in Red....

And it doesn't idle rough, shes full of ****. :) At times it rocks a little but it is intermittent. I've had vacuum leaks and the symptoms have never come and gone.

Right, the tach jumps around when idling for no reason.... I don't think it's intermittent, I just think sometimes it's more noticeable than others. Like I said before, it feels like someone's getting their hump game on in the backseat.

So, you're full of ****. :-p

Yeah, except his posts are barely, if at all, coherent. He's not much of a help when he types

"wel may eb yyou shuld take uit aopart nd loko at it y7ourself not brying it to a shopp"

Xavier 02-25-2009 04:05 PM

Engine RPM changes. Not to mention it could just be the tach sensor.

My Accord has that. Engine note doesn't change but the tach isn't very stable.

And that explains my dash lights dimming in and out too? I mean, if my car's fine, that's fine with me.. but it's been doing this since November

Just wondering... how do they select most reliable when the car hasn't even been out that long? I never understood that. I could see them rating a car the most reliable over a span of a few years or something, but not the same year it comes out. Ugh, I dunno.

check your alternator on the dimming note.. its a logical thought anyways

As for the idle.. CHeck your PCV Valave .. my jimmy had that problem it turned out to be the PCV Valve cover broke and popped out. its portrayed the same symptoms your experiencing when it was merely loose. just a thought.

ASIAN JUL 02-25-2009 04:12 PM

They checked the valve covers.
