sounds good man. Let me know how she's doing when it's all together. Another 240 on the road is a blessing! haha

I'll have to a better update later but I have the car back and Will did and incredible job with it! It's idling better than ever, the clutch is holding strong, the wiring is clean and semi tucked, over 90% of the leaks are fixed, my altima fan are working properly, my new seats are secured, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Will found out that my bov was bad so I need to replace it and I have a couple loose ends to tie up but I'm extremely happy with where the car is at right now.

Ok, now beat on it. As soon as I find this boost leak or whatever it is I'm back in business too...

ScubaSteve 09-16-2008 06:49 PM

No way dude! I have a ****ty tune, no wideband, no bov, and a small coolant leak in the intake manifold. I won't be beating on it until all this **** is fixed.

Renegade_ 09-16-2008 06:57 PM

The BOV thing doesn't matter... real compressor surge kills turbos, not this no BOV chatter crap. If you need a wideband, let me know. I know someone who gets big discounts on innovative kits.

ScubaSteve 09-16-2008 08:41 PM

Not having a bov will cause compressor surge

ScubaSteve 10-14-2008 02:57 PM

Coolant leak is getting fixed this weekend, I'm wrapping up the turbo to cool things down a bit, picking up a small battery, and hopefully I'll find a 1g bov so I can get that resolved too. I think the exhaust manifold still has a small leak too so I'll take a look at that and see if I can get it sealed up. I'll post some decent pics after I'm done.

Thats real compressor surge. Going past the surge line under load will kill stuff, the compressor wheel is being torn in different directions instead of just being slowed down when the throttle plate closes.

BTW - wheels look good.... just get some spacing all around and you'll be flush in no time.

Bite your tounge! The rears are flush and the fronts are close enough. I'm not ultra jdm tight spaced like some guys but the wheels are badass and a rare size. Don't worry I know what surge is and its not an issue anymore.

ScubaSteve 03-11-2009 09:26 PM

Thanks Will. I know I'm sitting pretty high right now but until I raise my intercooler I can't afford to go any lower lol.
