So I drove the Accord for the first time in a few months. Then my A/C was constantly on, and the HVAC controls didn't do ****. I pulled the control box to find this...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard water and electrical devices don't mix well.

You sir are correct!

I was wondering why my heater only blew out 80F and the idle was very lower. Well there you go. Luckily it didn't fry the module so I am letting it dry now.

I don't know how it didn't!

Neither do I. I am still trying to figure out how water got in there. The module sits under the blower motor but there aren't any openings in the blower motor. I pulled the drain for the motor and its bone dry. The carpet is bone dry, and so are all the other controls near it. The blower box doesn't have any water stains on it either and no mildew smell. I guess its just condensation?

so there is a brewing challenge with my homebrew club that should be rather interesting...

all ingredients must be purchased at wal-mart.

this means, no barley/malt, no brewers yeast. Wal-mart sells bread yeast, which apparently has a tendency to do weird things...

this is like a redneck brew off...

i've pretty much settled on trying to make a "peach cobbler mead"

so peaches, oatmeal (gives a biscuity flavor) and honey

Honey will feed the yeast, creating the alcohol, and the peaches/oatmeal will flavor it.

Its a pretty simple solution to the challenge, and i'm sure the other more experienced brewers (and scientists in the group) will come up with things a little more challenging...

though, i am tempted to just get some kool-aid or jello mix and ferment that

russiankid 01-24-2009 03:46 PM

Damn, hope no one reads that comment, or our relati.....I can't even say it.:cry::cry:

lownslow95 01-24-2009 03:47 PM

That sounds really good. Jello beer FTW though. Its like jello shots, but made with beer instead.
