im going with xp pro over vista because i prefer xp. i've got nothing against vista and it runs flawlessly on my home box / gaming rig

AMD dual core and a bigger hard drive or a second 100gb would be the only thing I would do different

100gb is plenty of space for me, it's a work & school laptop so i don't need a plethora of disk space, just enough for a partition for windows xp and another for linux
