omgjacki 09-22-2009 06:12 PM

How's the turnout so far?

bl@ckvr4 09-22-2009 06:15 PM

It's leaking out of the gas tank. If the rain doesn't hit us, I'll drive the 3000.

Last week was the first official day of the meet. about 50 cars. People scattered though when cops showed due to a rumor that the meet got "shutdown". Cops never interfered or tried to shut it down. The BK Manager and Cops do know of our presence though.

Now that rumors are cleared up, hopefully a bigger turnout.

omgjacki 09-22-2009 06:20 PM

I'll stop by depending on the plans.

I'm not saying that in a condescending manner.

Good call, I forgot about the manual, you will learn a TON from reading through that a few times and between that and those Kelby books pretty much anyone can start taking very decent photos with an understanding of what they are doing to get those shots.

Probably not but I'm really not sure to be honest, if I don't make it set it to P up on top and force the ISO to be 100 and you'll be good for %90 of pictures. Here are a few awesome books that will teach you 100x more stuff than I'll be able to at the meets...

Alright thanks. I'll try that and let you know how they come out.

I've completely read the manual two times. My day time shots come out perfect. Night shots are absolutely horrible. They are blurry as hell. I'm going to have to get one of those books.

R33E8 09-22-2009 09:02 PM

have you tried using a tripod? even those cheap $20 ones are good enough for some decent night shots...

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3021/...163c9dcda1.jpg

^^^ first night shots with a cheap $20 tripod, canon xsi with the kit 18-55 lens, and a few days of experience... I think you'll be fine without one of those beginner books.. At least I was..

Heatshield goes on when you put the o2 housing on, which in the above picture you can clearly see is not bolted on. Also, the turbo is only on for fitment purposes, which it is very close to the firewall.

And hell yea alternator only ftw.

ICE95Z 09-23-2009 09:29 AM

Sounds like the meet was full of Fail.
