I live with my parents (but not for long) and I barely even see them or speak to them. They're always traveling or busy or something. So it's kinda like I'm living on my own anyway.

I'm at work, so I don't have access to the pictures of it. But once I get home I can post one.

hmmm.. not so much. Living on your own is more than living without supervision... ya know?

DPancoast 08-13-2009 09:00 AM

My dad an I get along great. He just asks me to keep my room clean and neat, my stuff out of the way in the basement, to help keep my bathroom semi clean (his gf actually cleans it every 2-3 weeks), not make a huge mess in the driveway/garage with my car lol, and help out with the foods I use like milk, cereal, etc.

Other than that I come and go as I please and when he has friends over for pool/drinkin/pinball/etc, Michelle and I party with him. It's a great thing we have goin. I try to see my mom as much as I can too

K, I'm not saying people should walk around and make sure every tattoo they have gets seen by the whole world. It's just a strange concept to me that you wouldn't at least look at it every once in a while. Different strokes for different folks, geez.

Well yeah, except I pay bills. So it's pretty much living on my own. I buy my own food, pay rent, and whatever else they want me to.

Me and B both live with my parents. My dad's cool. Mom, not so much. She can be extremely bipolar, I blame it on her being 50 something and chronically ill. She has her moments where she's nice though. They let me get away with a lot of bad crap in high school - but at the same time I used to get grounded for not making my bed. Until B fiance moved in. They can't ground me if he lives here, ha.

I wanna move out, but I'm not trying to spend on rent what I could be using towards a mortgage.

CHAOS 08-13-2009 09:07 AM

i still want to bang julz's mom

haha.. you pay for it and i'm down... theres a separate outside entrance and everything.

crazyduckme 08-13-2009 09:08 AM

My mom is not pleasant to live with most of the time. But my parents are quite young, so it can be fun sometimes. My dad enjoys beer and our house is never without it.

That's how I feel, that's why I'm just waiting to save money. My parents aren't making me pay rent or anything, I have cars all over the place. They are pretty leanient compared to when I was younger. But yeah worth saving then spending on rent.

DPancoast 08-13-2009 09:21 AM

The only downside to living w/ my dad is that I have to hear him and his gf bitch at each other. Mostly because she's immature still at 24 and gets cranky over the stupidest ****.

Other than that. I pay rent only when it comes to the house. Not that much really but it's about the same as if I was living with Michelle somewhere. Then I'd have to add on utilities an such. Someday.

But yeah we have a cute dog at my house too so that usually makes me smile when I come home from a bad day other than looking forward to seeing Michelle

ASIAN JUL 08-13-2009 09:25 AM

Ay, Dpan, worth it for me to make the 45 minute drive to that Montgomeryville meet tonight (weather pending) in this 11mpg pick up truck? Lol. I haven't seen you in fo EV.

That's how Reese feels about the situation as well. I understand where he's coming from, but everyone has to start somewhere. It's almost impossible to get approved for a mortgage these days, expecially with hardly any credit.

I agree. I don't mind starting at an apartment/townhome and working my way up to a house. The economy sucks now and its already hard enough getting an apartment, let alone a house.

omgjacki 08-13-2009 09:45 AM

He thinks he's gonna buy a townhouse, fix it, rent it out, and buy a house. I'd LOVE to know where this money is coming from. That **** is sooo much. I'll tell him to call me when he wins the lottery.

HickRocket1258 08-13-2009 09:45 AM

You say that now, but think about spending $400/month plus possible utilities, food, all sorts of ****. Ends up to probably be like $8k/year. I just don't want to be forking over money per month on something that I won't own and spend it on something that I could spend on mortgage per month. That my opinion.

ASIAN JUL 08-13-2009 09:58 AM

I just don't like the idea of renting, lol. Spending hundreds a month on a place that will never be mine seems like a tiresome tease!

I'd move somewhere with a cheaper housing market, lol.

I never said I would never rent, I just said I'd rather not.

Sorry that's assuming you are splitting with someone else. Mortgage payments with a decent down payment can be about $1100/month.

jpalamar 08-13-2009 10:11 AM

Owning a home costs alot more then an appartment. You have taxes, more utilities, and upkeep is higher then you can think. Stuff wears out, randomly brakes, and you need new tools to do stuff. I'm assuming most people here would be do it yourselfers to a point.
