accordguy04 01-09-2012 11:02 AM

I'm working all week, four day week next week tho, MLK.

In other news, this guys putting in his two weeks notice next week or maybe by Friday. Finally got a break but it's pretty ironic. I'm goin back to Advance Auto as a Retail Parts Pro. I recently got my raise here at the bank and it was an insulting amount, so I called my of manager, he's bringing me back.

The way I looked at it, I'm making DIRT at the bank with a 50 mile daily commute, so I'd rather go back to doing something I actually enjoy doing with No commute. And the manager swung for the fences and scored, because he's getting me more money than the bank was paying me after being here a year and a half... ironic right? So it's literally win in every way and I can't wait to get back.

Big_Jim 01-09-2012 11:05 AM

Congrats on not having a commute and making more $$

accordguy04 01-09-2012 11:19 AM

Yeah dude in psyched. I Honestly thought they they would just bring me back at was I was making when I left, which if too factor in the commute, I'd still be putting more in my pocket. So def a good surprise. My weekend was pretty awesome until Tebow ****ing derailed it... with Pittsburgh's help... but still not Happy about it.

jpalamar 01-09-2012 11:32 AM

There is some rice PMing me talking **** because I said SRT Calibers are ****ty.

accordguy04 01-09-2012 11:35 AM

They are... pisses me off because I'd probably get walked by one, but that doesn't change the fact that their ****ty, I'd take a Neon over a Caliber any day, but I really don't like either of them.

Big_Jim 01-09-2012 11:49 AM

if its bad, report the pm, and it will be handled accordingly.

Mopars are crap. oh wait, what did i say? lol

HickRocket1258 01-09-2012 11:56 AM

Hey guys hope you all are doing well. Heather and I are having a hell of a time trying to figure out the best colors for the famiyl room and kitchen since it's basically one big room with no wall seperating.

Other than that, my birthday was Sunday and we had a housewarming/bday party at my house. Was a great time.

I need a career change.

Big_Jim 01-09-2012 12:02 PM

Rob have you thought about a variation of cream or off white?

Happy belated!

Here's the thing with that. The kitchen area had a like a darker yellow/white variation, but the family room is a dark wooden color, like a dark Cherry, not sure of specific color. That's the chair rail trim it has. It also has beams on the top of the roof like a farmhouse look to it which is real nice. Either way it's hard to figure out what's the best color combo since again, you want to look at it as one big room.

do one wall as an accent color (a muted color) the rest keep cream or off white.

Thats something i've been wanting to get into for a long time now. I may be venturing into that soon, but I want to "tag along" when someone does a mash/bottling to see if its really for me.

Antonio 01-09-2012 05:19 PM

Yeah, I've thought about it for quite some time myself also. I'm starting off with one of those "everything you need" kits and just getting the general idea about the whole process and taking baby steps to actually tailoring the beer to what I like

let me know if you have any questions, I'v been brewing for a few years. It's a great hobby and not one to be feared, it's easy as long as you are clean and sanitize everything.

accordguy04 01-10-2012 09:25 AM

Woot woot! Put in my two weeks yesterday and what do I do today? Set a new record for sleeping in and still making it to work on time! Slept til 723, I'm normally outa the house by 720. :)

Humidor is already cooling itself down, some humidified cedar and distilled water are in there now to absorb the plastic scent and produce more humidity. Next week or so i'll be getting Spanish Cedar to make shelves out of, and line the interior with it.

Everything ok man?
