poolmike 07-19-2007 07:11 PM

HOLY PROJECT!! I drop off the engine hoist earlier. All kinds of parts lined up like neat little soldiers waiting to get installed.

TROLL 07-19-2007 09:07 PM

ok we're calling it a night and hitting up the meet. motor and tranny are basically ready to come out, we'll be taking care of that in the morning.
fred has the entire interior out including the full dash and has begun breaking down the wiring.
we'll be back here tomorrow for a full day... should have engine and tranny out, then be able to start pulling old engine bay wiring and accessories to start making the transition to the new setup.
one thing still in question is the ABS... wiring is different on the new module and so is the hardline routing... i either need to merge the wiring (if possible, 22 pins on one, 27 on the other), get new hardlines made, or just skip the ABS alltogether. hopefully the functionality of the units is the same and it is possible to merge the wiring.
also need to figure out the fuel filter situation since the older cars had the filter in the engine bay and the new ones have the filter inside the tank.
ok thats it from me, heading out of the garage and over to the meet...

TROLL 07-20-2007 12:04 AM

yeah i tried to take a bunch, its hard when i'm knee deep in doing the work but i'm gonna try to work on getting them online now, hopefully in like a half hour they'll be up...

guesswho 07-20-2007 12:25 AM

Someday i'll do a swap like this, for now I guess i'm going to have to settle with a 2.5 RS motor. Can't wait to see it finished, i'm sure you'll do everything 110%.
