wat did you get? you have a 442 right?

i want a pocket gun but i dont trust semi autos that are that small, and revolvers are not skinny enough. i seen a s&w 442 and 642 used and they are both gone now, i should of bought one.

Not sure why you don't trust small Semi's unless you just are concerned about the caliber size. The Ruger LCP and Sig P238 have both proven to be very reliable guns.

i never shot either of them, but i heard there were problems with lcp's when they first came out, and i dont think i could spend 500 bucks on a p238, id rather buy a more reliable 442 and sacrifice size, they are about the same weight too.

you dont leave that lock on it do you?!? i have drawer full of sig, glock, fn, beretta locks that ive never used.

When I first got it I used to keep it on. What sucks is that it doesn't fit in the case with it on so I've left it off. That's my only firearm

Fair enough, I do believe all the problems with the LCP have been solved. I do plan on picking one up in the next few months and would be glad to let anyone shot it if they want. The 442 is very nice though I just perfer something I can easily put in my pants pocket. I will have to do a little more research I was under the impression the 442 was a lot bigger.

90HP 07-12-2010 04:55 PM

i believe the 442 is about the size of a glock 26, length and height, but alot lighter. its a really nice gun, but the lcp would be nicer to carry, i might get an lcp because i always leave my usp comapct home. id like a gun for work, i cant think of a situation where i couldnt conceal a lcp.

Sorry man, I don't have your number.

Thats exactly what I want it for and I have a Glock 26 right now.

heading out now to CP!

90HP 07-14-2010 10:01 PM

i was there picking up target for our annual booze and bullets weekend up the mountains.

me and my dad alone picked up about 500 shotgun shells, 5 boxes of 135 clay pigeons, about 800 9mm rounds, about 300 .45 rounds, countless .17 and 22 mag rounds.
plus estimated 600 rounds of .223, even more .17 rounds already up there.

wal mart is ridiculously cheap for ammo, federal 9mm were 9.50 and .45 were 16.
people buy them up so fast but there is always 100 boxes of .40 caliber, for 14 bucks.

i think if you were picking a shtf gun and wanted one that has a round thats easy to .40 is the way to go instead of 9mm.

id have to say 45 or 5.7 for shtf gun.

I agree, Walmart is def the best place to get ammo. Although I hate the store and refuse to buy anything else from them, they are without a doubt the cheapest place for me to get ammunition for my .40

ASIAN JUL 07-14-2010 10:44 PM

Wouldn't surprise me... he's always been a real softy underneath that tall ass Godzilla height, intimidating facial expressions exterior. He's half man, half metal.

(if you're reading this...don't hurt me)

those are one of the worst, unless you already have your stash.

.45 ammo is impossible to find at wal mart 16 bucks.i seen 3 boxes yesterday and they were gone today while there were 100's of .40 on the shelve along with everything else besides a couple 9mm

everywhere else has .45 bullets for 25 bucks, the cheap stuff too. my dad bought his .45 bullets in bulk on sale from cabelas and still payed 20 a box.

five seven has to be the worst shtf ammo, select places have it, and its not cheap at all. its nice because you can carry more though. i still think 9mm is the best because its a world wide used and popular round, and nato.

im the same way, i hate the place with a passion, place is filled with crazies. everyone who works there i pretty much look down on them.

i try to avoid it as much as possible, but when it comes to saving 5 to 10 bucks a box of ammo, you just cant say no.
