I HATE new jersey... and I'm from there originally.

oops did I say that out loud?

It's only a matter of time before the SCOTUS rules for incorporation of the 2A and some of jersey's (and other communist strongholds such as Chicago and NYC's) ridiculous victim-disarmament laws will start to come crashing down.

With decades worth of gun control now available to study and observe it's absolute failure, more and more people are starting to pull the wool from their eyes and realize the lies the media has been feeding them about gun ownership. I just read an article saying that the Brady Campaign is down in donations from $300K + from over 320 individual donors during the 2000 election cycle to only a single $2500 donation from a single individual for the 2010 election cycle.

Anti-gun groups' memberships withering away (with huge membership increases in the NRA and other pro-gun groups) is a sure sign that people are finally starting to not buy the anti-self-defense (more accurately described as pro-tyranny) machine's lies.

I have no problem going through the correct channels to get my guns, I just don't like being told which ones I can have. It would be nice to be able to walk in and get one on the spot, but it is what it is.

A couple from the safe....and yes they are all legal.

You have enough fire power for a small war.

Figured I would throw up some of latest additions. A Beretta Tomcat .32 pocket pistol and a 1967 Tangfolio .25.

a tomcat!! love it! i have a bobcat .22 (mine is the plain blued one, not the INOX ) and it's so much fun to shoot. my friends all call it 'the cricket gun' from MIB lol. it's fussy with ammo, but then again what .22 isn't? if it weren't for newer and larger caliber pocket carry options like the P238, Bodyguard, P3AT, or the LCP i'd definitely consider the tomcat .32.

any thought on the armalite 50? or should i just save for the barrett? not that i have a USEFUL purpose for it, i just want one! i also picked up a PLR at a steal and put a deposit on a socom scout... anyone else pick up anything new/cool?

~Brian~ 06-28-2010 10:21 PM

I fired off one round from my XDM without anything over my ears and now I can't hear anything with my left ear... oops.

Or you could do as I did, and look in to the Bushmaster BA50.

The BA50 is as accurate as the Armalite, with a 10 round mag. It's also got a hell of a nice trigger (unlike the bullpup barretts) and arguably the least amount of recoil of the "affordable" 50's. Another huge plus is that it eats any kind of ammo you want to feed it. With the left side charging handle, you can shoot it as fast as you can keep it on target. The M95, being the bullpup that it is, is lacking all around. Accuracy is also sub par. Even though the M95 has the 5 round mag, the AR50 would by all means be the better choice.

If you want a semi-auto 50, save for the M82/M107. If you want an affordable 50 that does damn near everything for half the price of the Barrett, look in to the BA50.

where do you shoot it? if you've ever shot it.

I thought I posted video of me shooting it in this thread. I shoot it up the mountains at my friends house, and we go up about 1x a month. The BA50 has a couple hundred rounds through it now, will probably bring up another 50 for this weekend.

This post was from January, shot it a couple more times since...

im going to look into that... have you shot a barrett? if so how would you PERSONALLY compare them?

S4toSTI 06-29-2010 02:04 PM

So i have a question for the thread. I am thinking about getting rid of my Glock 30 and buying a 36. Anyone have any experience with the 36? Anything else i should look into. I may even consider another brand if anyone has a good idea.

I'm having trouble finding indoor ranges that let me fire the Full Auto's (mini Uzi,Mac). If you know of any let me know. I've been told Targetmaster won't let you bring your own machinegun, only rent one. I'll bring the Hk's out anytime to shoot....just let me know. I live out in the mainline.

if you want to stay with .45ACP for sure, then check out the S&W M&P45C. it's larger than my 40C, but still compact. the 36 is definitely going to be smaller, but still similar in size. ireally love my 40C (and the 45C is nearly the same). i've been thinking about trading up for a Sig P229, but after considering it for quite a while now i really don't think i could give up the 40C as a primary carry gun. i think the P229 will be added to the collection, not replace anything.

I have only shot the M95. The M95, in comparison to the BA50, was horrible at everything. You name it, the BA50 did it better. I suppose an argument could be made that later on down the road, the M95 has the Barrett name so perhaps it could retain value even better, and have a bit more collectible factor.
