i think we've got around 20 developers, and i think we're looking to bring in another 4-5. I know things are changing here and we're upping our IT game and re-evaluating and re-focusing our department a bit of the year.
There are things being worked on development wise, and things we're looking to take over... which would increase the work load.
But the section of the department i am in, is quiet right now... i did an "hour" project yesterday that took about 10 minutes... and that was it. today is nearly the same.
during the year... i've been busy as balls at some points where it would have been nice to have someone else to push the work onto... 60 hours of work done in 40. unfortunately, i'm too good at what i'm doing here and it is preventing me from moving into another position where i will be challenged... or at least have fun :roll:
our clients are with us for the looooong run... we lock them into multi-million dollar, multi-year contracts. So, the money is there... its just right now, the work isn't. |
