Was the cop a douche about it? Is it expensive?

Just remember to list you got fired from every job you ever worked at, steal, and hate customers.

They will then hire you direct as management.

Haha, that'll work!

Oh btw, both of my cars are paid off thankfully.

HickRocket1258 08-06-2009 04:28 PM

Sucks about the cop thing. That'll put a damper on your day haha.

7 year loans suck ;)

12k left on a 21k car after 4 years

which is why the mustang is only slightly more expensive than the srt monthly

215ek 08-06-2009 04:32 PM

Do you owe less on the loan then you can sell it for(if not you better have some money to pay off the diffrence), and side work.

You should talk to a financial planner. This has FAIL all over it. You should keep the SRT-4 and try and sell it. Once it is sold then buy the new car. Don't risk it anymore then you have it.

+1.. The older you get, the less inclined people will be to bail you out of your poor financial decisions especially when they're as insane as they appear to be ;) And that's all I'll say because I know you don't want to hear it but be careful. Really I hope everything works out, because there's no point in having nice fast cars when you're too old to enjoy them properly. Just ask marcus ;)

Terrible Idea.

HickRocket1258 08-06-2009 04:38 PM

So Ken the mustang is going to be your daily? Let me tell you it sucks to have rwd in the snow.

Thank god, parenst are going to be gone tonight until Tuesday at the beach house. Time to relax tonight.

i hear ya... if i wasn't half comfortable with the idea of having both cars, financially comfortable, i wouldn't have gone through with it.

credit unions are "nice"... they're more willing to work with you. Once i pay off my dad for his little loan i'm going to focus on paying the srt off in chunks as i get money from side jobs.

i will look into the refi route asap, and will have the car up for sale until its sold... regardless of it being paid off or refinanced. i understand the risk i'm taking... but also understand the whole deal is costing me $300 more a month than when i was getting my tattoo worked on... and that wasn't even close to being an issue.

i'm just going to be a bit smarter with the money i do have so i can soften the blow and save up in case there is an issue.

i do have side work... and i'll have more... that money will go into the paying off the neon instead of mods for the mustang. i'm also looking at selling the truck since i won't get around to it for a few more years since i want to work on the GT

Oakes 08-06-2009 04:40 PM

I'd rather have RWD in the snow than FWD

traction control on it is real nice... and i've had a mustang in the winter before... and did a 180 in the snow haha, not on purpose >_>

but if the winters are like what we've been getting, i'm not too concerned. i can also work from home

besides, its not like the summer tires on the srt are any good for winter driving

You would be god damn amazed what proper snow tires and 16" winter steelies can do for you. I don't know what weight ratio is on the stang but on a proper 50/50 w/r car rwd is PERFECT in the snow. Nothing like throwing fresh powder the whole way around and exit ramp. I will say though, the effect is even cooler with awd ;)

Oakes 08-06-2009 04:42 PM

I drove a GT500 home from Lancaster to Paoli last year....I want to do it again.

215ek 08-06-2009 04:43 PM

so i was near split second on business rt 1, and i was going left at a light. across from me, a van was going left also, opposite me. well i saw a few cars come from behind him (its a 2 lane rd) andi waited for them. well as soon as it was "clear" i went, and the cop locked his breaks up comming about 2 inches from my passanger door. im pretty sure he was behind the van and cut around him, and there i was. so he flicked on his lights, ran up to me and said "thats the dumbest thing ive seen in 13 years on the force. youll get something in the mail, this isnt my jurisdiction". just sucks i was on my back from picking up my girlfriend who was throwing up and couldnt drive.
but i was very polite because i knew it was my fault, im just hoping i catch a break and dont get points=/

Hopefully he forgets to mail it in and you'll be off the hook. I don't know whether he'll put reckless driving or not. Did he say?

Oakes 08-06-2009 04:50 PM

They're more concerned about the fine than the points, unless you lucked out and got a cop who really wants to stick it in you.

russiankid 08-06-2009 04:51 PM

SO you're going to get his number in the mail instead.

215ek 08-06-2009 04:53 PM

id rather that. im only gonna fight it if points come up. if its a just a fine, it sucks, but i mean it happens.

Yeah, that really does suck. :( sorry to hear.

HickRocket1258 08-06-2009 04:57 PM

That does suck for sure. Hopefully you don't get points.

And well my mustang is kind of light in the rear. I usually had to put some weight in it. Although I was on a low profile tire as well. Didn't have good pattern for the snow.

My BMW handles just fine in the snow. My tires are all seasons, but they aren't the best in the snow. The ASC+T(Automatic Stability Control + Traction) works well.

Ok but my mustang isn't the greatest in the snow. Two different cars, and it even has traction control.

She'll catch on when you run inside and scream "surprise buttsecks!!" only to find out she is there not who you thought it was.

It's a moving violation. That pretty much guarantees points, and you should fight it because they always reduce it in some way.

215ek 08-06-2009 06:55 PM

thata what i thought but idk how he can just tell another cop and get a ticket sent to me.. i just dont understand, im sure he can tho
