i saw it in CTD and had to get it for laughs, although the build quality is outstanding for sure!

Dave mount that puppy backwards on your 556 weaver rail to teach you to use the iron sight instead of optics.

Just ordered an SW1911PD with the Crimson Trace. Can't wait to get and try it out. And btw wtf does it take so long to get gun license in NJ. Took me almost a month. My coworker from PA got hers in 1 week.

you actually got a permit in NJ? i demand proof! lol. honestly man, it's widely known that it is nearly impossible to get a permit in NJ... and no, i don't mean a month waiting period and some trouble getting it, i mean there are probably like four people in the entire state that have the proper permit to carry concealed. if you did actually get one, i would really love to see a pic of it and/or some info about how you went about applying for and getting it approved... purely out of curiosity. i don't doubt that you have one if you say you do, it's just that NJ permits to carry are pretty much equivalent to the Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, etc. People swear that they exist but i have yet to actually see physical proof of one. lol

Lmfao,. It's not to carry. Just a license/permit to purchase. And even that took 5 pages of paperwork with 2 references. Then you go to local police station to speak with detective who handles license/permits (who btw only works from 10-430 on weekdays so you have to pretty much take half day off work to see) to drop of paperwork along with $60.25 money order. Then he looks over paperwork and photocopies your license and you think your set. Only to be handed 4 more pages to fill out in which you need 2 more references. Then you take another half day to go see detective thinking you've done everything required and it's just a matter of them then and there at police station fingerprinting you. NOOO, detective takes paperwork gives you another form with an ID number. You have to call another company to get digitally fingerprinted. You call that company several times cause lines seems to always be busy to then finally get thru to a rep which gives you then next available date for fingerprinting which just so happens to be 2 1/2 weeks later at 12:18pm which meant I woulda have to have taken another half day from work (luckily place was close to my job) so went during lunch. Then 5 days later I get call from detective saying I've been apvd to come get permit between 10-4:30 again. Went again got fingerprinted on I'd and had to sign it in front of detective. Abd btw if you want to buy a handgun in NJ you need registration forms from local police station ($2 each). You can only buy 1 Handgun (as many shotguns and rifles as you want without registering) every month in NJ. The forms last 90 days and can be extended 1 times for another 90 days. So I paid another $9 cash to get a flimsy yellow papered permit and 2 handgun registration forms. I then laminated the permit at staples for it to somewhat last. And if you want to carry in NJ it's 3 more pages of work with 5 references, 4 passport size recent photos, $20 money order, and a letter stating as to you want a license to carry (I didn't want to do this part, although I do know the head of local police dep so mighttttt be able to get it apvd if I called and asked him about it before submitting)

:bigeek::screwy:

that's absolutely insane. honestly, if it were me i'd do everything i possibly could to get out of that horrible state ASAP. lol. it's not even part of the United States.

you know what i did to buy my first hand gun? walked into the gun shop, picked the one i wanted from the display case, payed $3 for the PICS (PA Instant Check System) background check, payed for for the gun and walked out about 30 minutes later. hahaha

also, to get my license to carry... it took 9 minutes from the time i shut off my car until the time i started it back up after recieving my printed license lol

**Alex** 06-20-2010 02:24 PM

And that's exactly why NJ is one nations safest states to live in and PA's straight hood. Lol
