Are there no other GT's at a lower price?

Scapegoat 08-05-2009 11:59 AM

i want grabber blue

and i'm not settling when its going to cost me 30k

Oakes 08-05-2009 12:02 PM

See...this is where you do what I did, ORDER IT! That way you can build it how u want, in your color, and within your price. My car retailed for 24k new, I paid 19.5 with the employee discount, but to get any other manual fusion it would have been fully loaded SEL with all the **** I didnt want for a lot more (31k) or base with nothing (14k)

Erik 08-05-2009 12:03 PM

ah **** my head hurts :(

Scapegoat 08-05-2009 12:03 PM

this car is exactly how i would have ordered it lol

the only benefit to ordering one would be that i'd have another three months to save up... which i may just do

Scapegoat 08-05-2009 12:04 PM

i'm going to talk to either the bank or the credit union about a personal loan for the difference... or just order one and save up every chance i can

Oakes 08-05-2009 12:07 PM

Ordering one is soooo much cooler, cause then you know the dealer guys didnt get a chance to beat it around the lot, it hasn't been sitting anywhere and it'll have the lowest amount of miles on it with everything you want. Then it gets detailed by me and its twice as good and everyone is happy....oops, did I slip that in there?

DPancoast 08-05-2009 12:07 PM

You'll figure it out ken!

I wish I could go outside and work on the wiring for my intercooler pump when I'm bored at work. There's like nothing to do right now and my boss JUST showed up... Glad to see he's on time today lol.

ASIAN JUL 08-05-2009 12:08 PM

Something tells me that's not the first time you've said that.. only... in a different context.

Erik 08-05-2009 12:08 PM

when ordering, do you pay for the shipping and what not? or do they just squeeze it in with their normal delivery? i thought customizing a car would be a fortune more.

HickRocket1258 08-05-2009 12:08 PM

Nick ya gotta promote when you can.

Oakes 08-05-2009 12:10 PM

Yes I do Rob haha

I didn't pay anything extra in ordering it, it's cheaper for the dealership in the long run cause they pay to own those cars until theyre sold. Since it'll be delivered like any other car to their lot, and they order them the same way, the charges are all the same.

crazyduckme 08-05-2009 12:18 PM

I want to trade my sedan in for a hatch. My dad thinks that is the dumbest thing he's ever heard.

Erik 08-05-2009 12:21 PM

hatch>sedan
especially with the 3's

russiankid 08-05-2009 12:24 PM

Just did a tune up on the Accord. The dizzy cap didn't want to go in place, so after I began cursing at the car it slipped right in...hehe.

I know :( I wish I had the patience last year to wait for the hatch... but I really couldn't wait another 3 months!!!! Eff that! I LOVE my sedan... but the hatch is just so much sexier. Especially after installing springs. I need springs. I want springs. Now. Yup yup. I think I'll like my 3 with the springs. If not... i'm getting a hatch.

DPancoast 08-05-2009 12:26 PM

sounds like a plan haha

russiankid 08-05-2009 12:27 PM

Springs are overrated.

how abouts coilovers?

Erik 08-05-2009 12:30 PM

definitely not overrated. but pricey

russiankid 08-05-2009 12:30 PM

Coilovers ftw...that is if you don't care about ride quality bu like the performance.

Scapegoat 08-05-2009 12:34 PM

i wonder how long i can last owning both cars...

till the srt sells that is...

Oakes 08-05-2009 12:35 PM

terrible idea.

if i can get the srt refinanced it wouldn't be an issue...

plus with an additional guaranteed 3k coming in i could throw at the srt to help pay it off faster

or someone can buy it today http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...ad.php?t=85005

HickRocket1258 08-05-2009 12:38 PM

Lowering springs totally hurt the ride quality of my mustang. If I could do it over again I would get 4 cylinder fox springs, especially in the front.

crazyduckme 08-05-2009 12:43 PM

I like driving my bf's car cause it's so low... and you can whip around turns real fast and its super fun!

DPancoast 08-05-2009 12:43 PM

I don't like lowering springs really. Especially an s-tech low kinda spring. Makes it really boat like and obly looks good. Although I put a set of Tanabe springs on my old mr2 and the handled great compared to stock. Barely any body roll.

Erik 08-05-2009 12:51 PM

so i have a dog named bailey. Hes a little yorkee.
http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._5020952_n.jpg
Well, i decided to start calling him number 12. he answers 0_0

Oakes 08-05-2009 12:52 PM

ROBOT DOG!!!

kill it with FIRE!

Erik 08-05-2009 12:55 PM

hahaa never! he works on cars with me. well, he lays on me under cars. but if i lay on the ground any other time he wont. just when im under a car. strange. He also puts his head up in the engine bay too. Like puts his paws on the sub frame or suspension and looks around. odd how intrigued he is by a car

If you have to get a personal loan to cover what the bank doesn't wanna finance, you probally shouldn't get the car.

True... but the bank does and didn't approve it:roll:

Go out and buy an old beater and do the cash for clunkers thing. That will get you the difference.

right, and you don't know my credit history either, which they do. :) I could afford both this car and my srt, rent, insurance, food, other bills and still have enough left over to chill with.

simple fact of this whole situation is, i don't have 8g's sitting in the bank to cover the difference, otherwise i would. I'm going to talk to the credit union about refinancing the srt and giving me the auto loan.

that would drop the monthly payments on the srt to something easily more manageable and potentially give me a winter car, and i can pay it off quicker with the other cash i've got coming in.

i've got a buddy willing to loan me a couple grand if i need it... gotta work something out since i'm so damn close. worst case, i'll just refi the srt and order the mustang and pick it up in 3-4 months

Got to have owned the car for a year

Scapegoat 08-05-2009 01:13 PM

mustang should be $500 a month... if i can refi the neon to get it lower i could handle both no issue till i've got it sold or paid off...

Oakes 08-05-2009 01:15 PM

If I made these sacrifices for a car, I'd still have the Nismo Z in the driveway and a bike...but I like having money.

Scapegoat 08-05-2009 01:16 PM

spend it while you're alive

Oakes 08-05-2009 01:17 PM

I have something brewing, don't you worry.
