New Jersey doesn't but PA does.

"These events are being held to assist law-abiding gun owners in applying for a Florida Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit. No, you CAN NOT carry a concealed firearm in New Jersey if you have this permit and don’t you dare try. However, the permit is valid in Florida and, at the present time, Florida has reciprocity agreements with 27 other states to honor their permit. (Actually, they have agreements with 29 other states but 2 of them only honor permits held by Florida residents and not non-residents) Those 27 other states are:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming."

So anytime I feel like traveling to PA, I can CC. What time are you guys heading to Classic?

ITSTOCK 08-29-2007 05:46 PM

Yep, I just read that. The last time I was reading was around March and it was different, good news though!

I don't have a set time since it's not my call, the woman gets to do that.

goodfella732 08-29-2007 05:50 PM

hahahaha. Now only if I could get the girl Im talking to to be like that. I told her the G26 is a pretty fit for her.

ITSTOCK 08-29-2007 05:53 PM

It's not. The G26 is a horrible first time gun for a girl (not kidding, it really is because it's got a double stack magazine, which makes the grip way too bulky, plus for rapid fire, it's obviously harder to control over a compact or full size 9mm). I bet she would like the XD 10000x's better!

goodfella732 08-29-2007 11:57 PM

I gotta get her out to the range first. Im going tomorrow either way. I dont care where or when. lol.

goodfella732 08-30-2007 08:46 AM

Ok, so lets see if my luck this better this morning.

WKderF 08-30-2007 12:07 PM

I want to go to the meet so we should be done shooting by 8. what time do u wanna head over there?

goodfella732 08-30-2007 01:57 PM

Oh my how sweet it is...

WKderF 08-30-2007 02:44 PM

Do jersey stores not sell defensive ammo?

goodfella732 08-31-2007 07:30 PM

Take a wild guess

el_jefe 09-03-2007 12:53 PM

mmm, caffinee and ammunition.

Because Im bored. Really good book btw. That and World War Z. If anyone is zombie fans like myself. I picked up a copy of Armed America too. Amazing pictures of families and people in their homes and why they own the guns they do. Its awesome seeing it go from a young 20 something couple to a 70 year old woman.

On a related note, installing mag extensions sucks. Getting that base plate off the Glock mags was tough.

ITSTOCK 09-06-2007 04:05 PM

lol at the Zombie Survival Guide. So what's YOUR plan?

Anyway, why do the extensions suck? Mine came off rather easily, not sure what you're doing to make it difficult. Lastly, I was at the range on Tuesday evening, brought the USPc back to shoot and the gun is BADASS! I absolutely love it, no recoil, accurate as hell, comfortable, just all around smooth gun... it's just a shame that the size is a bit big to carry.

So when is the next range trip? I want to bring my brothers Sig 556 to see if it's really as smooth as he says.

goodfella732 09-06-2007 04:26 PM

It was just tough getting the base plate off. Being the newer mags are using a stronger polymer its alittle rough to squeeze the tube to getting around those little tabs. In the end thou its well worth it.

Pick a night for the range. I need to restock my ammo badly. I think Ive gotten down to 250 rounds of FMJ and 50 of JHP.

And is it bad I do have a zombie plan. I figure its best to get to the Stop n Shop by my house and grab whatever food I can and then barricade up the house. lol.

ITSTOCK 09-06-2007 06:31 PM

You just made your first mistake in zombie survival, NEVER share your zombie plan!

I'll probably go Tuesday night.

goodfella732 09-06-2007 11:12 PM

Let me know if you are going for sure. I might go sometime this weekend to Classic. Rent just went up so what little fun money I had has disappeared and the ammo price increase sucks hardcore.

ITSTOCK 09-06-2007 11:14 PM

What did rent go up to? I'm a member so I have no clue. As to ammo, walmart still has cheap ammo. If you want me to pick you some up, just pay me back at classic (or I'll shoot it all myself). It's still pretty cheap there (compared to my other ammo).

Unless I break my legs, or someone dies, I'm going for sure on Tuesday night.

goodfella732 09-06-2007 11:27 PM

Rent with utilites now is 850 up from 650 so That adds alittle bit to the budget. Oh well. Give me an idea of what Walmart is charging. Ill probably have you grab some boxes then. Ive got a place near me where I bought my Glock that has 10 boxes of WWB for 98 bucks. Ill have to see what the new price is with the great increase. I had a site that had WWB for 7.xx a box. Should have jumped on that. Its now at 12.16.

ITSTOCK 09-06-2007 11:44 PM

100rounds of winchester white box for 10.96 in 9mm, 100 rounds of .45acp for 28.96

goodfella732 09-14-2007 09:12 AM

Dicks Sporting Goods has Remington UMC 9mm for 6.xx a box if you buy 10. 500rd of practice ammo for 70 bucks doesn't seem to bad for us who don't have Wal-marts that stock ammo.

ITSTOCK 09-17-2007 01:08 PM

Damn it ,I can't link to imageshack anymore??? Here are my current favorites out of my collection (no pictures are 3 more plain jane AR's, and a couple of rifles and couple of shotguns).

I have the sissified version, or pS90.

And thanks Mike, when I tried last time, it said the same thing. I guess it was just something temporary with imageshack. Also, I really need to start using my tripod.

goodfella732 09-17-2007 10:20 PM

damn man. gun porn is always fun. did you sell the other AR?

The more and more I see stuff from FN the more and more I want one. Someone find me a FiveseveN. Its just sucks the local range doesn't allow their ammo to be shot there. The owner is an anti-FN guy. I was talking to the dude at the counter today and he was saying someone of the lobbyist trying to outlaw the 5.7x28mm ammo and the guns that use them. Don't they make a non-armor piercing round in that caliber?

No, I didn't sell the AR, and I am just going to hold on to it. I wanted a different gun, but I figure that I'll just hold off until I can comfortably afford to do so, without sacrificing any of my current guns.

FiveseveN's are all over the place, the problem with them is not only are they expensive initially ($800+ min), but ammo is expensive ($20-$30 for 50 rounds).

Your local range probably won't let you shoot it because it's a handgun range, and most handgun ranges won't allow cartridges that have super high velocities (out of the fiveseven, the velocity is almost 2000fps). It's the same thing as shooting .17, most indoor handgun ranges won't allow it.

The only true level III armor piercing out of the fiveseven is the SS190, it's no longer imported, nor is it sold by FFL's. It's also going for over $300/50 rounds (no misprint). Out of the P and PS90, the SS195, which is still available and cheap, is easily capable of piercing level III (but so can many rifle cartridges).

There is talk of people trying to ban the SS195 ammo as they did the SS190 and comparable rounds (the SS197 is just sporting), but no true movement has been made. It's do to the simple fact that out of rifles, many rounds are armor piercing, and more effective than the 5.7x28. However, my local shop, Claytons, refuses to sell it's leftover many thousands of rounds of SS195. Thankfully Tanners still sells/stocks the cheapest out there. ($20/50 rounds)

My next handgun is going to be a FiveseveN. 800+ actually isnt to bad considering HK's and Sig's go for around the same. I take it Classic doesn't have a problem since they are a rifle range also. I just know the owner of the range by me is a nazi with alot of stuff. If he doesn't like it then it doesn't allow it. I bet if he didn't like Glocks he'd find some way to ban them at his range. Ive got the membership meeting for the local range club by me so hopefully I can join there so I don't have to continuing going to this one.

I did buy a new toy tonight for the XD. It was kind of an impulse buy while I was at the range.

Like I said though, it's not just the initial purchase price, it's the price of ammo also. Classic Pistol charges $30/50rounds, while Tanners charge $20/50, and lots of other places don't even have it. And no CP doesn't have a problem, my PS90 has been there plenty of times (almost 2800fps out of the 16" barrel).

So how many lumens is that bad boy? I need one for the HK, since that's my primary home defense anyway. Do they have a more compact version?

80 Lumen LED. That second pic was taken in a completely dark room with no windows or lights on. They call it blinding beam. You can see to how the light is one big ball in the center. Good little added protection against an intruder. They had the TLR-2 which is the flash/laser combo but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on an accessory. I also bought a Kleen Bore cleaning kit. Not really use what most of it is thou. I need a good class on stripping, cleaning, and lubing firearms. The store by me charges 15 to clean so I might suck up the 30 bucks and get both cleaned and lubed.

And on the FN stuff. 20 bucks doesn't seem to bad. I wouldn't use it for a normal target gun. Its just one of those things you want. If I want to shoot cheap then Ill bring the 9mm. But I wouldn't mind spending acouple more bucks each time at the range to own a FiveseveN or even a PS90. I wish our state would easy up on the mag laws. Having more then 15rds in a gun isn't going to stop any crime. Its going to suck having an AR with a 10rd mag. What good is that? If I remember the one video I watched the PS90 doesnt have a 10rd mag option? I know the FiveseveN does.

ITSTOCK 09-18-2007 04:01 PM

That's a badass light! Damn those handgun mount lights are freaking expensive though!

Since I just need it for home and car, I'm going to skip the gun mount and get this toy...

http://cgi.ebay.com/SolarForce-3x-CR...QQcmdZViewItem

500 lumens, that should do it! :-p:-p I'm comfortable resting my shooting arm on the left/off arm, and I only plan on using it for home defense anyway. I just wonder how heavy it's going to be :o

Oh, and there ARE 15 round, NJ legal mags for the PS90.

goodfella732 09-18-2007 06:19 PM

Damn, I think you should be able to see with thing. My question, why would you opt to use the USP over the Nova? Or is it missing from your collection from the lack of it in your pics?

I didnt know they made 15rd mags. I know they make a 10 and 20 for the handgun. Damn, that means one more gun to the list of WTB.

I still have the nova, but it's too long of a barrel and overall gun for in home defense (at least in my home, as in most homes). It's heavy (compared to a handgun) and sluggish to maneuver, and there are only 5 shots (4+1) and then complete reload, over 8+1 and just dropping and inserting the mag in the usp.

And yes, I think I should be able to see my entire development with 500 lumens

goodfella732 09-18-2007 07:25 PM

I can see that then. Im sure with that flashlight, and if I remember you had nightsights put on the USP you should be ok incase something happens. Heading to Classic possibly Friday if anyone wants to join

Indeed it does! I had them on my glock, but you could see them through every shirt that I wore. The new holster hides them better, so Ill have to get them reinstalled. I MIGHT go tomorrow, not positive. And to add, even though I haven't been hunting in years, my pretty gun (it's not all black  ) winchester 94. This was my first ever gun, given to me when I was 8 from my grandfather.

There is enough black in there to make it acceptable. What kind of holster is that?

Ill probably be making it down there around 630

Comp tac Minotaur IWB holster. It wouldn't work with the lasermax on my glock (would turn it on), so they replaced the poly/plastic part for free to fit my HK. It's an awesome holster though, love it. I can't wait for colder weather when I get to ccw the hk instead of the glock.

I have dinner with the g/f's parents at around 6, so I won't be there until 8 or so (the g/f wants to go, maybe her dad also).
