Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

Sweet. I was reading up on Acurazine about that and saw them talk about bypassing the amp, I know with my Ford's that I owned in the past that can be a huge pain in the ass. Is the Datsun in decent shape my buddy loves those things... Your evo was pretty sweet, I'm not big on modding cars to begin with so I totally see where youre coming from... I was toying with lowering the CL but I like the ride too much to mess with it.

Hey, glad to hear the CL is still going strong. I left the harness in it that bypasses the stock amp so you can just install the headunit and you're good to go. Evo is good, too bad I'm getting laid off from my day job for the winter so I can't do anything else to it for awhile. I bought a 76 Datsun 280Z to do a RB26 swap into eventually so thats where my $ will be going. The Evo is too reliable to mod too much.

yo dude, hows the evo? the CL just rolled over 70,000 miles and not a damn thing wrong with it, i love it. if i want to change the headunit do i need to bypass the stock amp or does it wire right in with the harness you gave me?
