not that hard... i mean... not easy... but if you know your way around an engine you can do it...
h22/h23 head
f22/f23 block...
mate head to block and plug 2 oil drain holes in the h22/h23 head...
switch f23 water pump gear to h22 water pump ... and re route the external water pipe ...
very little to no machining is needed to get this to run...
again this is VERY ... VERY Basic idea to the swap... and if you arent willing to read through someones detailed thread with vital information that has had sucess doing this... i wouldnt bother to even think about doing it yourself.

its a hybrid motor build...
it is a H22/23 head ... mated to a f22/23 block
i am building one.
right now i have the head and block... just need the gasket rebuilds...and trying to get some na cams k20 86mm high comp pistons etc ...i have sk2 turbos in the head seeing how i was originally boosting... but decided i want a bad n/a build... i have a set of bisi cams and sk2 valvetrain setup...just need my cams gone for a little cash hahah
here is one on youtube...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8H59E0oSps&feature=related
the offers more torque than that of the h22...

If you saw this in that dumbass magazine that clearly made **** up.
Here was there parts list with prices.
The Bare Bones G23
Parts You'll Need To Build One On The Cheap
200+ WHP
F23A COMPLETE SHORT BLOCK (USED) BLOCK, RODS, CRANK,
OIL PAN, OIL AND WATER PUMP, CRANK TIMING COG AND PULLEY,
EXTERNAL WATER LINES, SENSORS, ETC. $200 Yea $200 except good luck finding that for $200 and it's smart to use a new oil pump and water pump from honda which is automatically like another $200.
H22A COMPLETE HEAD (USED)ASSEMBLED HEAD AND VALVE COVER,
INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THROTTLE BODY, DISTRIBUTOR,
FUEL RAIL AND LINES, SENSORS, HEADER, ETC. $300 Again good luck finding a complete h22 head with no problems for $300
H22A CRANKSHAFT TIMING COG (USED) $25
H22A TIMING BELT (NEW) $50 Timing Belts are $70 from Honda
H22A HEAD STUDS (NEW) $50ARP Headstuds are like $120
H22A HEAD GASKET (NEW) $50Head gaskets are more than that from Honda
K20A OEM PISTONS, JDM OR USDM TYPE-S (USED) $100 You can get brand new Type S pistons from HMO for $200
H22A P13 ECU (USED) $75 Hmm wouldn't it be smarter to get a chipped ecu with a basemap to your setup then have the car dynotuned. $50 to chip an Ecu and at least $300 for a tune
B-SERIES TRANSMISSION OF CHOICE (USED) $300 A good B series Trans usually goes for about $500
STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS FOR OIL DRAIN BLOCKING (NEW) $1
B-SERIES CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL (USED) $100 I'd recommend a new clutch which will set you back around $300
H22 WATER PUMP (USED) $10 Already covered above get a new one
K20 PISTON RINGS, ACL F23 BEARINGS, OE H22A GASKET SET (NEW) $200
DA INTEGRA AXLES (USED) $50
FABRICATION (MOUNTS, LINKAGE, INTAKE, EXHAUST) $300 Biggest joke of all you need the h2b conversion setup with mounts which is like $1500 alone not including intake, exhaust, or a header.
TOTAL $1,811 Yea I guess that total will work if you do a half ass build that won't last long, and if you build it right it will cost the same as a K series if not more.

Now they claim you can build it for cheaper as well.
BARE BONES G23 VTEC (PREVIOUS TABLE) $1,811 From my previous post I obviously disagree with this price
SIX SIGMA RACING HEADER (NEW) $800
CAMS AND CAM GEARS (USED) $500
SUPER TECH DUAL VALVE SPRINGS AND TITANIUM RETAINERS (NEW) $315
QSD H2B ADAPTER KIT (NEW) $750
KAIZENSPEED BALANCE SHAFT REMOVAL KIT (NEW) $150
ACT PROLITE FLYWHEEL (NEW) $260
CLUTCHMASTERS FX500 CLUTCH (NEW) $310
TWM INDIVIDUAL THROTTLE BODIES (NEW) $1,500
CROME TUNING $300
TOTAL $6,696
I don't really disagree with anything form here. I know someone locally who built one of these on a budget and spent like $4000 still on a budget build without fancy things like ITB's and an $800 Header, etc...
Now a days you can do a K swap for around $6000.
You can even do a budget built B cheaper than both.

Well don't be mad when you cheap on parts and your setup doesn't last, or you build this setup right end up spending more than a stock internal k swap with bolt ons and k pro would cost and you make less power.

i can tell you that i picked up a f22 for 200 and a h22 head for 350 w/ skunk2 stage 1 turbo cams... so id say its close... just have to be patient.
and yes... they both are in good condition.
