I sold the rims to fund my head rebuild when the timing belt went lol, they were 5x100 17" reps and didnt need any spacers to clear them but was going to have them on there, and the rear can go as low as the front but the 3" exhaust wasn't made properly by the shop and rubbed on the axle. The skid plate about 1/2" or less from the ground. Im on VMAXX coilovers right now and will be putting the bags on there to go even lower. I will keep you updated on if my car sells or not right now and if it doesnt in the next month then the build will start, I was think 17x11 rear and 17x9.5 in the front for rims.

I'm on stock wheels for the winter right now but I have a few different wheel options that I want to go with for my airbag mode. I plan on using Altered Altitude Customs Lay out Vdub kit with rear Firestone bolt-on kit and Auto Pilot Digital Controller , or if you got a different cheaper or better ways please tell me so I dont spend too much or make a mistake ordering wrong parts. Also I plan on running 2 compressors possibly, making a clean trunk setup, and other stuff. After next september ( When I will buy my diesel truck ) this will turn into my project vehicle and I will end up doing a 2.0 stoker, gt35r, and other fun things.
Ya the front can go a little lower also lol

You can fit a8 wheels on your car, you just need adapters. My buddy has a set on his 337 in the summer.

id honestly tell you to piece your kit together, use uvair front bags over your coils, get a airbag-it valve mani, 4 or 8 valve, depending on weither you want to go just front back or side-side, do to vivair 450 compressors and a 5 gal tank, and just run rocker switches and guages, you dont need all that fancy digital stuff, as for the firestone rear setup thats the way to go, but makesure you get them in right cause if not they have a way of working themselfs out, in reality a good working kit can be had for around 1200
make sure you notch frame, roll pinch welds, cut strut bearings, and get a good tuckable wheel setup and go as low as you can!

if your looking to go low, im gonna say FK's any of them, or if you can find them the "old" witec's go low and ride great, vmaxx go fairly low but you get what you pay for and they are the cheapest
if you dont want to go low but want a great ride get h&R's or i had konis in every picture ive posted of my car on here

yeah, I was looking to go low and heard the FKs go reallly low. definately have at least looked into them. I don't know how low I want to go yet, but the ability to go pretty low w/o bags if I wanted is a plus. Not exactly looking to be kissing the ground but fairly close :P. we'll see when I decide..
and to OP: Nice jetta btw.

Ya, I was thinking about piecing my own kit, I want the digital stuff so I dont have to do a lot of wire running and stuff. Im looking at some 17" BBS RS that are wide, Corvette ZR1 ( Flame me if you like by they are super wide and look really good ) or some cheap sportmax, it all depends if I want to do all the body work to pull my fenders or do a some widebody. Also how do I notch my frame?
I would go with the VMAXX because they go really low and I love the ride they have given me for the money. I only paid $500 for the setup and it goes low enough for me, also dont forget to get your skid plate otherwise say bye bye to your oil pan and engine. I bottom out every day and would have had to replace my oil pan atleast 5 times a day if I didnt have a skid plate on my car.
Ya I was thinking about getting the 4motion front lip because I dont want to buy the gli lip and mess it up with being so low.

dude you have to remeber air is a diffrent ball game, wide wheels just arent in the mix. 9 is like the widest id go on air, you have to clear fenders when you deflate the bags.
and just get a c-notch and weld it in
also non digital isnt alot of wiring, just run the switch wires and gauge lines together

Ya, if I go superwide ( i dont plan on getting rims till spring time ) then Im pulling all the fenders out and i was on the vortex and I saw some that had it. I was leaning towards some 17x8/17x9 bbs RS wheels with some nice lips or 16x8/16x9 sportmax wheels, also I dont plan on running anything over a 17" wheel so I can fully layout with a nice fitment. Where would I weld a c-notch into my frame? Because I know on mini truck and trucks with frames they use a c-notch but since cars dont have a frame I couldnt see to put one.
Well I go to school full time and work 42 hours a week so I need something that would require me running a lot of line or wiring, with the digital setup you just need to run the air lines and one wire up front to make it run because it all comes pre-assembled.

Also if anyone has idea for wheels please let me know, looking for something around 17" with a nice lip and prefer gold or black but will look at everything. Also something that you dont see often and not more than 2000 with tires!
