The plan obtain a large metal hood and weld a 3 person bench seat onto it custom bracket of coarse and to take it to the largest hill I can find this snow season.

Yea its gonna be dangerous as but fun as hell. If you would like to help or have some old hoods or truck bench seat laying around please let me know. Looking for a large car or truck hood, older truck hoods are perfect because of the curve in the front they have going on.

I have a bunch of metal stock and a mig, just need parts. If not I'll hit the you pull it soon.

... i have a real ****ty bench seat in my '72 parts truck and the steel hood...

the hood will cost you some $... not sure how much, gotta see what its worth... but the seat I don't think is usable unless i get new padding for it... (gotta look into that)

if the seat is useless, it's yours... just come get it in glenside

I'll donate my spare eclipse seats, too. Singles? That would be a little more fun than a bench...

Well I am in Philly, so if you close by let me know and I'll come get the stuff Singles seats could be fun. I got about 4 helmets too, as for the hood I dunno if I can find you one, I am sure someone has something pre the 95 ERA laying around off a large truck. I think I may be able to rig this in a few days, the welds will be ugly cause I suck but its practice. Oh and if you donate and feel like helping the beers on me, maybe pizza too

your probly gonna need some kind of straight rails welded onto the bottom of the hood sled, or else im afraid it will just try to spin...

and thats if you ever even get it moving at all.

last winter me and a friend were using the top part of one of those luggage bubble things for the top of a car. it was super lightweight and really smooth bottom, and even that thing had a little bit of a hard time getting going...

that sounds awsome....use the latch part on the hood and tow that b*tch. We took an old BMX bike and cut up and bolted skis to it and pulled it behind a 4 wheeler....it was sick to turn you just turned the handlebar alittle and shifted your weight

When I was like 15 we had like 5 people sit on a car hood and it was crazy fast (it was the hill in Pendel / Bensalem PA) This will just be a version with seats. Oh and lots of wax, Im going Clark W Griswald on this.

As for the broken Leg, I work for a huge company with good benefits, so yeah broken bones suck but insurance FTW

Oh and if you wanna help / donate parts email me. I live in NE Philly too so the closer the better.

we rode a pickup truck hood down the 1st hole at a local golf course (nicknamed "the nutcracker"...popular sledding spot)...didn't go so well. one friend wound up with a concussion, and one lost 3 teeth...be careful.

i say we form teams to make sleds and have a competition could be fun also could result in more injuries

that could get hairy , with having teams and that sort, i can see that somewhere in the rules that helmets would be required and at some point a roll cage of some type
