piercings + airport security = ?

im gunna be leaving to poland in aug. for a month. i got my tongue pierced, and i was wondering if i would have any trouble going through those metal detector things.

have any of you ever had a problem with those things(w/ piercings on). i really don't feel like having to take it out if they won't pass me through with it on. :roll:

I have my tongue and other *goodies* pierced and I get through metal detectors fine. If for some reason it happens to go off, they will just scan you and if their scan thinger goes off in the area of your face/mouth just show them. No big deal...they are not that anal to think a piercing can be used as some super weapon to take over an airplane.

It wont set it off. Surgical steel usually doesnt.

I have a metal plate and 6 screws buried in my arm if that is applicable,.. and havent had a problem
