I'm leaving for Colombia on the 3rd and I wanted to pick one up before I go. The current one I have is a 2.1mp, and the card-reader slot is ****ed, so I really need a new one. I have no experience with these, and I'm not looking for amazing quality, just something that takes pictures good enough to post online in order to show my friends/family at home while I'm away for 2 years. (Oh yeah, durability will be a small factor since I'll be doing some hiking/camping on the coast, but I'm very careful with ****, so it's not a huge deal.)

Thanks!

Ending up getting this great little canon digi cam for $150 from ritz. Instead of comparing models, I decided to go with the best camera, and the brand I wanted.

The model I got is a A550 7.1MP

My review:
Amazing battery life (I took about 250 pictures on one set of batteries over about 3 weeks, this included going through all of the menus on the camera to get used to it.)
Fast loading compared to others I've used, and it's really easy to use.
Only problem I have with it, is until you see the battery low indicator come on, it doesnt tell you about your battery life. This may be because the camera can't predict the battery life accurately, i know this was the case of my old HP, but I really don't know.
