I am upgrading my cars entire braking and suspension system, and the bolt pattern on the car used to be 5x100mm (5 lug). Anyway its going to be upgraded to 5x115mm. Well i have heard of people mixing bolt patterns and not buying rims that are the same bolt pattern however they fit on the car. Well I am looking at a set of 5x114.3 rims and I was wondering because its really close to 5x115 any chance those would fit onto my bolt pattern? I know for sure that 5x100mm won't fit onto my 5x115.

What uses 5X115? I have never seen that bolt pattern.
I wouldn't try to make it fit, if it is lugcentric you are asking for a world of headaches.

5x115mm is a FWD bolt standard lol. Its one of the standards for GM. They have used it for years.
Could also be 5 by 115 or 5-115.

The 5x115 bolt pattern is used on alot of cars? lol. I have seen this on a set of other makes besides just GM. They use this on the Grand Prix, Grand Am, Bonneville, Monte Carlo, Cadillac CTS, Buick Regal, Oldsmobile Ciera, and alot more. Surprised no one has heard of this bolt pattern?
My friends Fox body uses 5x114.3mm and my friends Camaro uses 5x120 something... So 5x115mm isn't big? 5x100mm is used on the smaller GM cars like the Cavalier (older ones that is).

Oh yeah I forgot that most of these cars on the site use either 1 lug, 2 lug, or duct-tape

Well that was a joke.. but it seems like I see alot of cars driving around with atleast 2 or 3 lug nuts missing. And I wouldn't be surprised if they were using duct tap as well.

Yeah i mean at the most I can see someone with a 5 lug bolt pattern running around with 4 lugs, even if it isn't that safe, it can hold. Now i can't see how people running around with 4 lug cars running with 3... now that is just really unsafe.

I've done it several times. Snapped lugs at Englishtown like it was my job. When your only other alternative is a 40 mi tow, guess what I'll drive the itch home. Regardless, back on topic. I wouldn't suggest trying to stick a 114.3 on a 115. I've tried it and it wont work unless you drill out the holes a bit. If you don't do it properly then its hard to put the wheel on and if you get to that point and you force it then you just bent your studs and you're screwed.
Anyways, 114.3 is used by many like ford, mazda, nissan to name a few, whether it be 5 or 4 lug. the reason ford uses it is because it happens to be an exact standard size of 4.5in
