I have one for software that i use. I purchased it legally and i only want a copy so that i can run the software at work and at home so i don't have to carry it back and forth..
Anyway to copy it or install it on a hard drive?

Is it for an encrypted section of the drive? If so, im not too sure. Why not just put all of it in a public, or unencrypted section, and it should be reconized by any computer.

We use USB dongles here at work for the software we write. They have an encrypted product number/serial number in them. They are not a regular flash drive.
I have heard that there is software out there that can pretend to be the dongle, but I have not tried anything like it. I also do not have a copy.
What is the software package? I would be very surprised that it would be ours as it runs as a set of server applications and would lose most of the usefullness at home.

We need one at work for All Data which is software with everything you could ever need to fix every car made.
Every 3 months we throw out our discs for the new ones. If I had a copy of that dongle, I could use it at home from the old discs, or just make copies of the new ones.
