I am looking to go bigger turbo because I want more power obviously. Its pretty much between the Stage 3R or AGP's 50 trim. I want to go S3R becuase it would be easy with minimal (sp?) tuning. The only thing that is keeping me away from it is the price since Mopar jacked the stage prices up a little while ago. Also with the install and tune, any suggestions? I dont doubt anyone's tuning expertice but I would want someone who had alot of knowledge with the SRT and would be able to help me out since I am still learning about this cars as well. thanks!
p.s. I already searched this in SRTforums and I feel like there is so much usless crap that it's hard to get through and I know if I posted this there I would get so much crap that I dont feel like dealing with it.

Take a look at my site in the SRT 4 section. I have a special going on now for AGP turbos

I am personally a huge fan of both kits. While the initial price of the S3 kit is higher then the 50 trim. You also have to account in fuel and supporting mods. Not to mention time on the dyno tunning. You will end up close to the same price of the S3 kit by the time it's all said and done. In the end though it's whatever you feel more comfortable getting.

PM Ray@turbotek. He used to have a GT40R turbo in his SRT, he tuned it all and should be able to answer any of your questions, as well as give you a nice price on a kit and installation!

If you know you'll be happy with the power Stage 3 will yeild... it's the best choice. Faster spool, already tuned, parts slip right in.
But if you think at any point you'll want more than Stg3 power... go with an aftermarket kit.

What's the common occurance between a 350 HP SRT-4 and a 400 + HP SRT-4.... the majority of them all run the same times at the strip. Now if you want a highway monster the 50 trim is the way to go without a shadow of a doubt. If you do go with a 50 trim I'd highly recommend a DBB 50 trim. Right around the same spool time as the S3, but with more power.

sweet thanks guys so much for the answers, Yea i figured the price would come out to be the same all said and done. I was actually thinking it might be easier to piece together a .50 trim anyway since i wouldnt have to buy it all at once. I am looking for more of a highway monster because its just fun. I will definetly have to get ahold of ray, and do any of you have a bigger turbo set-up? and if so, what do you have? once again thanks for the feedback guys, if this was srtforums i would be getting flamed left and right

Unfortunalty I am still rocking the stock turbo. I am however in the same situation as yourself. I'd like to go bigger turbo, but I'm not sure if I want to go S3, 50 trim, or even a bigger wheel stocker. All options can put down 350+. I would however recommend if you go with the S3 to check out F&F for porting. They are claiming 350 non HOM.
My main concern though is that no matter what my car will still be used for auto-xing, and non of these bigger turbo's are going to do me much good in a small setting like that. I really like the DBB 50 trim though....

*ahem*
kinetic 50 trim > agp imo. the only thing agp has over the kinetic is the heat sheild... i LOVE mine, and was not dissapointed with the $ invested into it... pm for details

I've looked into porting and/or clipping the stocker and also with s3 but i've heard iffy things about doing it with the reliability then again that could just be rumors, but 350 non HM is nice # for the s3. TTsupra911 im feeling ya though on that 50 trim, something about it is drawing me to it haha. How much of a bigger wheel could we put in the stocker? bascially im tired of being in the 200 horsepower range, i want to be lowest 300.

exactly what I was going to say. With Realtune's external WG manifold they are putting down I believe close to 350 on the E1 turbo (ported and bigger wheel stocker). PTP is also another company to check into with their SSt setup

Extended tip 50 trim. I'm going that route with my new setup and it should work out nice. Spool around 2900 and good to 600hp.

Forward Motion. I think really the only way to get some info on it is to visit the Nazi forums and then go to their section. It's called the E1, they are now coming out with an E2 though..... let us know what you end up getting.

I am kind of liking the Foward motions E1 kit. For the price, since i am on a budget and the ability to make 300 whp which will hold me over right now, might be the way to go

79.00 mbc
175.00 for wg
stage 1
msd tach driver
with this setup i went 12.6 @ 109mph on stock exhaust

Ray I will be hitting you up at some point in time then. Out of the items on your list all I'm missing is the SAFC (w/ tach driver) and the fuel pump (I am also missing S1, but so far I have been able to get around all CEL's. I know S1 adds more then just this option. However I just can't justify the price for it at this point in time). I do however have a 3" TB and a larger FMIC. So hopefully I can see numbers a little higher then that. Also how was everyday drivability with that set-up?

TTsupra911 i agree with you on the price of s1 and arent they able to reflash them if you get a used one?

i only like stage 1 for the larger injectors, if you have an 04 then you dont need larger injectors. albert if you can get your hands on stage 1 injectors that would work too. infact stage 0 ecu seems to provide the best timing.

05 FTW, other then it being picky with CEL's. Like I said though somehow I've managed to get around them so far. Although I've heard that the SAFC will throw a code on an 05

We pulled a 12.1 on the stock turbo with drag radials and Ray clicked off a 12.6, so anything is possible.

Screw the stupid HP thing!!! I pulled 11.8 on 360whp and 11.6 on 480whp, so whats the friggin difference?
Stock turbo, wastegate, MBC, and some type of AFC coupled with a few suspension pieces and you have a pretty f'n fast car.

I think the older WGA's had a stop nut welded on them, but they were fully functional.
How much are you going to buy it for? I new one is about 150 and they are a lot more user friendly.

Oh yea i plan on doing it right with what i have. Ray is def willing to help me out, so im just gonna get a little more power for the money I got now.
-you guys got an opinion on a MBC? Cuase I can get a TurboXS one for about 40 and a Kinetics one for about 25, I always seem to do research but when it comes to it, I just cant make the decision haha

I agree with this 100%. I put a crappy WGA on my brother's SRT and now we had to go buy a new one cause the first one took a ****.

I made 303whp and 369tq stock turbo with my car on 22psi and a 2.5" intake. My car ran really strong stock turbo, but I was ready for more. I made my own turbo kit, made all my own exhaust pieces, oil lines and so on. It ran great. I just sold it bc of what happened but it was good. I would advise AGP over Kinetic anyday. AGP simply has A LOT better customer service, quality, and reputation. Ben will talk to you personally if need be. Agp sells the 60-1 turbo kit for $1850 shipped (stripper kit) and is good for 550whp built motor. If you want some help or anything. Feel free to hunt me down. I have mod lists, dyno graphs and any advice you might need.
Check out my time in my sig..thats stock turbo on bfg's..its not too shabby.

Personally I'm a fan of the DBB 50trim. Most of you that know me from other forums know why. If you're looking for a upgraded stock turbo with either internal wastegate or external wastegate mod you can check out www.RippMods.com they are the shop that just recently built my motor setup as well as a S3R with external wastegate and Big Wheel upgrade for a friend of mine. They have a 16g stock turbo setup that will make some really nice power, look stock for those of you that want to be sneaky and still give you the peace of mind that you don't have to retune it every other day like a big turbo.
