Just thought I would share some more pics of my 71 roadrunner instead of just emailing them to SCAPEGOAT.

Yea, you can barely make out some rusting on the chrome up front. Thats the only damage.
I think driving that car to prom and racing some asshat in his dads Cobra was more memorable then actually attending prom lol.

Couldnt even tell ya to be honest never tried one. Theres really no need to flex the muscle when the entire body flexes when you rev  When I take the car out it goes without saying that I get riced out **** reving at me at stop lights. When I have the rear shocks gased all the way up and the car sits at a steep angle I can rock the entire thing with a slight press of the pedal. That usually cools their jets quickly lol.
The car is a freakin rocket. The only scarey thing is how much it wonders wherever it wants on the road.
Shes currently at my house. In a carport waiting for the pole building I just bought to be erected.

nothing like 400ftlbs/tq....
They were only rated at 300bhp though..stupid emissions. Have you done anything to remedy that?

No sir. This car is 110% factory.
It is just as she came in 1971. 26K on the clock. Original paint, stickers, emblems, chrome, trim.
I even paid $200 to have one of the headers repaired rather than buy a set of headers when one of them developed a hole right before the exhaust pipe.
You will not find a car in this original condition ANYWHERE. It is ALL original.

you suck..there goes sticking a blower on it :p
What do you think about the paint? A little wetsanding and clearcoat? Or a fresh coat? I'd love to throw some plum crazy on the sucker...but original red she'd remain. But I think I'd throw on those decals up front coming off the 383.
Here I go, planning the paint and I haven't even decided :p

trade it to me

trade it to me
With any luck lol.
I would totally strip it and then repaint it. Alot of guys would just have the bumpers rechromed and the rubber redone and drive it as is.
It does have the normal paint chipping behind the rear wheels on the quarter panels but I guess thats to be expected on any car 30+ years old.
You just have to be careful wher you park it. I have caught assholes trying to pull off the road runner head numerous times. Once at Carlise. It seems that just that little head is worth about $200 lol.

Yea, I dated her for 5 years then we split over me not wanting kids ASAP lol
Thats a 85 F150 straight 6 with flare side bed. Its a badass. 31" tires and a shackle lift kit get the job done :)

I have a garage for it. But I'd have to junk all my parents shiat that is in there, or move the Omni.
We'll see about the trade. I gotta make sure I'm totally getting ripped off, only a little bit, lol :p

now, is that rallye red?
Drftpretty
06-13-2006, 03:51 PM
Couldnt even tell you, now its a redish orange. Did I send you the VIN? The color code should be in that.
Scapegoat
06-13-2006, 03:55 PM
Yeah, I have the VIN, but it doesn't tell me color. I "decoded" it on some website, I'll try again with another.... I think the color code will be in the door
yup, no color in the vin http://mymopar.com/decoder.htm
all the options will be on the door panel sticker
rallye red will be an E5 code on the sticker, E7 is a different red..but I expect that to be darker... though, if its kinda orangish..it could be V2, which would be plymouth's version of Hemi Orange

I stared at that number yesterday trying to figure out what it was when I was getting you the VIN. the dash VIN plate is way too fadded to read. Im 99.9% sure it was E5. Ill double check when I get home

06-13-2006, 04:19 PM
yes sir!
What kind of production numbers are we looking at here?
How rare is my car lol? How do you like the numbers and stats you're pulling up?
Scapegoat
06-13-2006, 04:31 PM
car isn't super rare, other than being a low miles, numbers matching, 71 Road Runner.
I'd say you could weasel 14-15k from someone as is, but that is without seeing it in person. I've seen ones in better condition going for 19k. If it was the 440 or Hemi motor, then it'd be worth a decent amount more. the 383 was the base engine for the car, and weaker than previous years due to new emission laws.
But it is still in great shape, from what I can see, and would make a fun car to take to car shows and be a great original factory car from 71.
70 and prior year Road Runners are more valuable, more collectable. Shame this isn't one of those, I prefer that body style ;) a 1970 with an air grabber hood would be sex... I'd give my left nut for one, but I like this body style too, just not as much
this is teh hotness:

ok.
It says A-71 on the same plate as the VIN on the drivers side door jam. Does that help?

yah...ugly sun roof...but otherwise fantastic car. Love the color, and I love the painted bumper piece, love the colored lights too.
The only chrome on that car is the rims...
