Every time I try to find a racetrack, that would let average production stretch their muscle, I can only find the ones, that are somewhere in far NJ, Poconos, etc. Does anybody know any places like that anywhere not further than 20-30 minutes of normal driving around Philadelphia?
Last Saturday I was told, there is an airfield on 611, right off I95, but I could not find any info about that.

Thank You, everybody! My main issue is that I work on all and every weekends starting around 4pm, and most racetrack activities are held also on weekends, so, I hardly would be able to spend almost 4 hours just getting to and from there. That's why I was trying to find a place not that far. If anybody has any ideas, I'd be happy to try any place closer to me. Thanks again!

You won't find race tracks in close proximity to major metropolitan areas. They require too much space and generally, make too much noise. The closest track to Philadelphia is New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ....an easy 45-60 minute drive from downtown Philly--I make it to NJMP in 75 minutes from Newtown, PA on Saturday/Sunday morning...and I don't even hustle to get there.
NJMP has events on weekdays too, look at their event calendar or visit the NJMP On-Track Experiences page (http://www.njmp.com/experiences/) where they list out the NJMP track days you can drive your car on the track at.
Friday, June 27 on Thunderbolt Raceway
Thursday, July 10 on Thunderbolt Raceway
Monday, August 4 on Lightning Raceway
Friday, September 26 on Thunderbolt Raceway
Friday, October 17 on Lightning Raceway
Sunday, November 16 on Thunderbolt Raceway
I will be at a few of these instructing.
You can also find PhillySCCA autocrosses in Warminster on many Sundays....not the same top speed of driving on a track, but it doesn't cost as much.

you could always hit up a weekend auto-x event. will surely push your car to the limits, and i believe they hold some in the Wells Fargo center parking lot?
