On the road now heading down with some friends and will arrive at 2am, staying till Sunday. My buddies parents got us a time share down there and I've heard from grandparents it's a nice place but expensive.
Any advice on what do do in the area besides drink? Good resturaunts or stuff to see?

My parents live across the bridge from the island and I've been there many times.
If you want a place that has a wide variety of souvenirs and local themed crafts, try the Shell Shop at Coligny Circle Plaza Shopping Center
There are a few resturants I've enjoyed there.
The Fabulous Frankie Bones
Its a Frank Sinatra themed Italian resturant.
1301 Main Street
Hilton Head Island, SC 29926
The Old Oyster Factory
101 Marshland Road
Hilton Head Island, SC 29926
Nice to watch the sun set as you eat dinner and most of the food is good. There was some spicy sauce fish special that I didn't enjoy because it basically tasted like Frank's Red Hot poured on fish and baked. Everything else there was very good and reasonably priced.
Giuseppi's Pizza
There are two locations on the island and one in Bluffton. The owners moved there form PA many years ago and make good pizza.
Black Marlin Bayside Grill. Its a bit difficult to get to if you don't know the roads. You get off the cross island expressway on the opposite side and drive under the bridge to get there.
Other stuff to do:
Dolphin Watching boat rides. Its a fun way to spend a couple hours and some of them also give you information about the island as you travel around it. You might see the miniature Statue of Liberty on the Island while on a dolphin watching cruise.
Rent bicycles and ride around the island and beaches
Play Golf. Harbor Town is famous for its lighthouse view on the 18th hole that the sports channels show when the PGA is there. There are at least 75 gold courses in the area, so you don't have to pay the $200 that Harbor Town charges for 18 holes.
Go to Savannah. River street is full of restaurants and bars. Also there are man walking and trolley tours along with a few museums in Savannah.
Near Charleston there are plantations that give walking tours. A few of them are famous from TV shows and movies. One of them is also famous for being the filming site of the movie The Swamp Thing.
There are outlet stores on 278 going to the island. I think one of the locations might be undergoing remodeling. I'm not sure if its completed yet.

Hymans seafood in downtown Charleston is amazing. There are some good bars right in downtown as well. One is Market Street Saloon. Idk if it still there but I work down there for 9 months two years ago and that place got nuts
