GoPro Hero 2

So it seems my company is no longer going to offer the GoPro line. This means I can only get the Hero HD, not the Hero 2. I just sold a non-HD and an HD Hero assuming I could order a Hero 2. Fail on my part. What's the cheapest price people have seen for the Hero 2? Since they have VERY strict MAP pricing, it's hard to find anything for less than $299 unless a coupon code or something is used. Any help is much appreciated!

I heard some best buy employees get good discounts and i may get one that way. Other then that i've seen some on ebay with free shipping for $270.

The distributor I used to get it from doesn't carry Go Pro anymore either. I still have one source, but it's barely better than retail. Definitely picking up an HD 2 motorsports edition soon.

Thanks guys. So far I can get forum discounts to get it down to around $270 shipped, but I know the margins on these things so I KNOW that the retailers have wiggle room... quite a bit of it.

No link. Due to the MAP pricing no one can advertise for less than MAP. The $270 shipped was through my Trans Am forum from a vendor, through PM's.

Much appreciated, man. I can get another Hero HD (not the Hero2) for $198... if I can't find a Hero2 for around $225-$250 max I may just go that route. I love the Hero HD, but really wanted the 11 megapixel over the 5, among other upgrades.

If you were at the PRI show and went and bought one there you could have gotten it for 199. Once they sold out they were giving out the online code for a little bit but then stopped. That is the cheapest I saw them.

Every year the line gets longer and longer for people buying them. The first year they were being sold at PRI you could set up an account and have the highest discount by only buying 10 units.

If I was going to spend enarly $300 on a camera, I'd also look into the RePlay XD1080

if your in the philli area, the motorsports race car show in february has good deals, i got my hd hero motorsport edition for 285$ with the roll bar mount and extra grab bag from the berhents display, awesome deal!
