Have you guys seen the article on Yahoo? They're coming back in a big way! The company has enough parts to complete 500 new Deloreans. They're gathering a lot of clients to buy them too. They're also making special edition ones. If i can find the link i'll post it.

I saw this drive by my store when I was outside on a smoke break. Bunch of fancy cars were out the other day when it was warm.

I know the guy...he has been working with my company for years and is a friend of my family. His wife got him it for his birthday back in 2009.

2700lbs-- there is a huge misconception that they are super heavy.

Engine put out 170hp but once the US enviro-nazis got a hold of it they stifled 40hp with emissions control devices.

Yea they are slugs for sure. The owner of my gym is a friend of mine and he has one. He has to take it up to New York to have good maintenance done to it.

I remember seeing something about this on Modern Marvels a while ago. My memory of the specifics might be a little off. The parts for the cars this guy is building come straight from the factory in Ireland. When the Delorean factory in Ireland shut down, they had all those parts stamped out and ready to build the cars. They eventually all got boxed up and shipped over to the US and I believe sat for a while till they were finally bought. I remember them saying you can buy a junk Delorean for 5 grand and put 20 grand into it of their parts and services and have basically a brand new old Delorean. Or you could buy a decent one for 20grand and put 5grand into it and have the same result. I all remember they said thew new DeLorean Motor Cars has no affiliation with the original company

If thats true I am sure he would be incredibly disappointed what they did with the generation of GTO that doesn't really hold to its roots.

Its true, he also designed the Pontiac Firebird and the Grand Prix.

Maybe the re-design of the GTO is what put him in the grave in 2005
