If you have an Itouch, chime in.

How often do you actually have wi-fi that you can use? I dont mean at home, using your own wi-fi. Just generally when you are out and about, how often do you get a strong enough signal to actually email, and go online?

Your not going to get ANY signal if you aren't somewhere that offers free wifi...

At work we have WiFi (hospital), so 80% of my day im in WiFi range. I LOVE my ITouch. I think its one of the best things ever made. I got the Droid phone now and it is badass, but when in WiFi I use my ITouch to save 'wear-n-tear' on the Droid. I listen to online radio all day through the ITouch via slacker and pandora. Flawless.

Why is this even an issue, just buy any cell phone, put a 4 gig memory card in it and your set. How much crap do you really need at a time, plus with a cell you can just get a data plan and problem solved. Now your carring 1 thing arround not 2 and it works more often.

The iTouch isn't that much cheaper then a data plan til you do the math. The extra few bucks is worth it for freedom and the simple fact of not having to carry 2 things arround. I don't have a man bag Just a pocket.

Yeah exactly... Once you DO, do the math, you realize that buying an itouch is A LOT cheaper than owning an iphone.

Thank you...

the 8 gig i bought was $199... if you buy an iphone 3gs 16 gig with new 2 year commitment for $199 and you get the data plan it will cost you $720 just for the data plan in that 2 year span.

Iphone---$199
+ Data---$720
----------------
It costs roughly $900 to have an iphone for 2 years when you can keep the ipod touch for 10 years and it will cost you $200

$900 > $200

$900 > $200
Iphone+DataPlan+CellBill

The data plan is on top of the normal bill.
