I know I'm a little late but a tornado ruined my plans of putting them up over the weekend. Enjoy! I have a few more but haven't finished editing yet.

I'd hate to be working the course when that truck spews its fumes (which seems to be constantly).

my boyfriend said his front tire blew or something. I left early. I'm sure someone else on here knows more details.

Nice shootin, Tex. Shots look great. Editing with Picasa? Anyway, who the heck let those trucks run? LOL! Was it SCCA sanctioned?

thanks Most have no editing. If they were, Lightroom or Photoshop was used.

Yeah, it was SCCA sanctioned. I was surprised to see him out there, as well!

The rules let them run. It was an SCCA event and it was completely legal for them to run. The rules prevent vehicles with high cg and narrow track from running. Clearly both those trucks are lowered and the diesel is retarded wide.

Oh and working course when he went by SUCKED. As far as how he did, pretty damn fast considering the size of the thing. Second slowest time of the day but I don't even want to know how heavy that truck is. He ran over something with one of his rear tires and had to remove two of them later on in the day.

Just to be clear:

2009 SOLO Rules

Section 3.1: 'Vehicles'

Quote:
... vehicles with wheelbases exceeding 116 inches may be excluded by the Event Chairman if he determines, at his discretion.
Quote:
Unstable vehicles with a high center of gravity and a narrow track, including SUV’s, minivans, and 4WD pickups, must be excluded. Examples of such vehicles are listed in Appendix A.
Appendix A:

Sounds pretty subjective to me. For example with the NEPA SCCA those trucks would never have been allowed to run (afaik, kupop please chime in if I'm mistaken) ... but up here in VT, the SCCV wouldn't have a problem letting them run.

those example cars are all about 2ft wide. they are notorious for rolling, how often do you see a pickup truck roll?

Anyway. I just wanted to man up and apologize for what I did. I was a complete @$$hole. I talked to John today, and told him I was WAY out of line. He and you guys had every right to be mad at me, and what I did/said. Truth be told, I feel really bad about it; as I should. Again man, im sorry for what I said. Just uncalled for, and plain out wrong.
