I am TERRIFIED for my alarm to go off. But that's mostly because it seems to only ever go off when I accidentally set it off or when my keychain batteries die and I have to intentionally set it off to get in my car. But somehow, I ALWAYS have difficulty shutting it off.

my neighbors hated when my alarm went off. It triggered the train horns under the good, and the hella supertones inside the car.

You have both?! That's crazy! I'd be terrified of my own alarm, hahaha. I wouldn't even be able to get near the car to shut it off.

Okay, so so bigger issues with the car came up tonight. Seems like every time I fix something, 9 other things break

1. It feels as if my clutch is trying to slip. It has momentary losses of power, especially in higher gears. Sort of feels like driving the car under water. High rpms but low power. Basically, the CMC was replaced, because Honda has acknowledged that in the factory CMC, there is not enough clearance between the piston and the push rod. (Their idea of fixing this issue is to throw a new CMC in. Obviously, that is stupid because the problem can be chalked up to lousy engineering but not mechanical failure.)

Honda even released a hilarious TSB that acknowledges this engineering problem and provides the solution of putting in another poorly engineered CMC.

Due to this, all of us with 8th gen civics had to Frankenstein something else together (or deal with a bad CMC and get stranded, eventually, like I did). The solution many have used is to make a hybrid CMC using the EM1 CMC and our stock CMC.

Now all of a sudden my clutch is sort of slipping. We figured out that because it engages so close to the top, that the clutch is basically always engaged which is causing the problem because the rod is too long. SO, if I go with the factory CMC, the pedal pops and it may let me down, along with the infamous grinds in the transmission that it causes. If I go with the hybrid swap, my clutch slips. I can't win

Looking into other options now. Anyone very knowledgeable with this have any ideas?

2. My car is badly burning oil. I'm only 200ish miles over due for my oil change, and my oil light came on when my boyfriend what out test driving for the clutch slippage. Obviously the car is now parked until I can change the oil tomorrow. I've never had a problem with this and I've always had the same amount of oil come out every oil change that I've put in. This is the supercharger, right? I think I'm going to start changing the oil every 2K miles. **** is getting expensive.

3. My washer nozzles spray washer fluid onto my windshield every time I hit a bump in the road. Could this be my pump?

Anyone want to buy my car? I'm sick of fixing it

Oil low, clutch slip..... sounds like it might be an oil leak on the rear of the motor or even the rear main seal. The nozzle, sound like something in the reinstall in parts or a bad switch. I would need to get a meter on that.

Oil is definitely not leaking. It's definitely burning.

Clutch only started slipping after CMC was swapped.

This has all been done around the same time the car has been supercharged so its sort of difficult to pinpoint what is coming from where.

I had originally followed the instructions on the Hybrid Racing website that had you switch out the rod, brackets, lock nut etc so that you used all the stuff from the EM1 CMC instead of the OEM CMC as pictured here in the second photo:

I'm wondering if they were wrong because I currently have the EM1 bracket and lock nut on there along with the EM1 rod. But maybe if I swap again with the OEM bracket and lock nut, then I could have the longer EM1 rod, thus providing more clearance and then also have the lock nut and shorter bracket from the OEM CMC so that it isn't elongated too far pressing against the pedal. Does that make sense at all?

i think the em1 CMC causes alot of clutch slippage i read a few threads about it burning out clutch right after switching over. i wish i could lend some experience with it but im still on stock clutch and stock CMC.

Yeah I think it's burning out the clutch because it's now too long, thus always pressing up on the clutch pedal so the clutch is never fully disengaged. Basically, its like driving while resting your foot on the clutch the whole time...I think. Explains why it was such a mother 'effer to bleed the system. Also, I have NO clutch play. Thanks for the input!

That link is perfect, thank you! From what I'm reading its going along the same track as I was saying about using the shorter OEM bracket and lock nut and the longer EM1 rod. Thanks, Tony!!!

Haha yeah I feel ya. Mine just kinda went one day. But I had the clicking clutch pedal and second gear grinds long before. Best thing I can tell ya is check your fluid level often! Will update with results once I have 'em!

Apparently not enough. Just talked to some s/c guys though and they said 3k should be the max I ever go without changing oil with the supercharger and even that is getting a little iffy. Apparently a lot of the guys are also running thicker oil.

when you say clicking do you mean the creaking noise when engaging and disengaging the clutch pedal. i had this problem but white lithium grease seem to cure the problem for the time being. what was the mileage on ur stock clutch when u replaced it also mileage of the stock CMC?

Switch to a thicker oil, 10w40 will probably be better. I do not believe that the supercharger is oiled by the engine, so the only place you can be burning it is in the engine itself. May be worth doing a compression test to make sure things are staying ok.
