I remember seeing that car in person, he put more miles on it doing the burnout that it had on it when he started haha

How would a burnout destroy an engine? Just cause it wasn't 'broken' in? I'm sure he got those rings to seat quite nice doing that burnout.

The motor builds up SO much heat in that minute or 2 of high rpm high load action. Plus no moving air on the rad, just the cooling fan(sufficient at idle and slow speeds, not a 4th gear burnout)

Aluminum motors probably dont like that very much

Im not saying its going to blow up, but I guarentee that that motor will have more problems and/or will not run as well as another properly broken in motor 50k down the road from now.

Break in is a little more crucial than some may think.

Others also think that you should beat the crap out of it for proper ring seating. A pretty debatable topic...
