Go on the highway, get it up to speed in fourth and just floor it after you are in the higher RPMs. If you see the RPMs jerk up without you accelerating, the clutch is slipping and it's time to get a new one. At least that's how I checked mine.

Someone explained the "Clutch test" to me like this. It actually worked.

Release the parking brake.

Put car in first gear

Step on brake

Start to release clutch pedal slowly.

If car does not die by the time your clutch is fully released, guess what? Xedy here you come.

I did this when my clutch was going, and yes, it was gone.

You can do it either with brake or emergency brake, you choose.

What an easy way to destroy whats left of your clutch!!
If you can't tell your clutch is gone you shouldn't be driving stick, either it slips or it grabs..
