My Saab

Well, since I'm new here I though I'd post a pic of my car.

While it is completely stock at this point, I've yet to see another just like it. There are very few 9-5's running around here and next to no aeros. So if you see a car like this driven by a skinny white guy that would probably be me.

Aero, eh? So it's the 3.0t motor? I work at a certain Saab dealer in Doylestown (but the TST Gestapo forbids me from telling you exactly where). The 3.0t motors pull really nice. Is it an auto or stick? And if it's an auto, I assume you have the cool steering-wheel mounted shift buttons.

No, it has the High Ouput 2.3L 4 cylinder engine. It's even better and faster than the 3.0t. And no, I don't have the cool steering wheel mounted shift buttons, just Saab's absolutely terrible stick shift linkage.

Faster than the 3.0?! Whoa. Maybe it's better on the top end, because those 3.0 motors pull like a freight train down low. I can't exactly flog the hell out of the cars, because they are after all customer's cars.

And I think the linkages are wonderful, they feel awesome. I guess the Saturn linkages really are THAT bad Big surprise there, something on a Saturn that's total crap. Sorry Redline guys, I'm a little bitter.

Maybe the 3.0 pulls better from 1000-2000 rpms, but after the turbo spools on the HOT 2.3 it absolutely flys. Not much else on the road can touch this car in mid-range acceleration.

As for the shift linkage, there's nothing particularly wrong, I mean it does work. It just doesn't feel like a luxury car, ya know?

Yeah, there is nothing special about the linkage in our cars. Its one of those things that i just got over. So do you have any plans for the Aero, or are you going to leave it stock?

Engine wise it's staying stock til I upgrade the suspension. Has enough trouble putting stock power onto the road if ya know what I mean. Maybe a Remus sport exhaust though, for noise only. When I get serious (and get the cash) I want to put on an FMIC, delivery pipe, downpipe, and BSR software to go with it. Should be about 280-290 hp at that point. Visually I'm happy with the look, but I'm thinking of painting the grill like this....
