HDR-Imaging Thread (tone mapping)

Thought this might be a good idea for everyone to display and discuss their work.

My HDR Bar of soap.
One night after having a few beers at home I took these. (the beers probably weren't the best idea to have before trying to take the 'exact' same picture. I hit the tripod a few times while adjusting exposure. in any case onward...
1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

Then Not really knowing what to do I layered them all up in PS, and then started erasing stuff on layers and playing with transparency levels. This is what I came up with.

I also read about photomatix which is a software that creates HDR images, and does tonal mapping. I downloaded the fully working demo, there are a lot of custom settings and adjustments, but i don't know if my pictures were just slightly off alignment, or if the softwares auto align feature sucks but... this was one of the better results. I wasn't sure what everything did, so I just tried a bunch of different settings.

here is some other decent reading.

Here are a few of mine. They are done with three different exposures and processed using the Photomatrix trial software.

How far apart were your exposures for the LAST picture...that thing is incredible.

I don't mean to sound like a dick, But I posted some helpful links at the bottom of my initial post that will answer you're question in much more depth and accuracy then what I would care to type. Check those out, or search wikipedia for it.

I actually like how RAW pictures turn out when you put them through photomatrix with subtle HDR strength.

Here is my try at HDR Images.

Shot in Raw
Cpl Filter
+2 EV
0 EV
-2 EV
Put together and then tone mapped, Then a little adjustment

Same as above, but second layer in Photoshop set to multiply.

I dislike how the Photomatrix software has its water mark on the photos. Wish I had a full program and not the trial.

D, that looks like it is subtle HDR. The reverse graduation in shadows is what keys me into it. Besides that ghost of the dude... (which could be PS'd out if someone took the time)

Heres one I did, It's sort of fake. I just opened one image in PS and changed exposure levels and saved it a 5 different levels. Then tone mapped. Then slightly adjusted in PS, just bumped the exposure up a tad.
My best so far.
